  1. I already tried searching the web and the forums, but I cannot seem to find a quality image of the Sundown Audio logo. Would be great if someone could supply me with the Sundown Audio logo. I prefer a vector image. Anyone care to help?

Bigger alternator for Lexus IS 220D?

Okay I had to give up on a high output alternator! Not one single company / person could get me a bigger alternator for my Lexus IS 220d (Diesel) from 2007! I spend several months searching, emailing, shouting, screaming, crying and pulling my hair out (now I am bald) for a better alternator (more than 200A), but no succes at all. Company's / people I have been in contact with: Excessive Amperage, Ohio Generators, Wrangler, Iraggi, HO alternators, Quality Power, Powermaster, Mechman, Mean Green and many, many more... Even Nathan (Excessive Amperage) after supplying him with tons of emails, couldn't help me... I guess if you have an European car, especially a Diesel sedan car, your really screwed. Oh yeah, I did get an offer, which I had to refuse. Some lame ass Dutch company offered me a McLaren alternator 200A... For guess what price? 2000 friggin' Euro's!!! Not in 2000 years...
  3. Okay, this is the deal; my current 3SIXTY.2 broke (it's the second one which has broken). The red light keeps blinking and according to Rockford Fosgate it means the Bluetooth chip on the 3SIXTY.2 is broken. I also contacted Rockford Fosgate Europe, they can repair it, but it will cost me 200 Euro's!!! That's insane! Anyways, I am thinking about ditching the Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 and go for a different brand. The only options I have found so far are: - JBL MS-8 (still not in production, wait will be to long) - Audison Bit-1 (still not in production, wait will be to long) - Macrom EXT.A1DSP (expensive, looks like a redone PPI DCX 730) - PPI DCX 730 (hard to get, no support) - AudioControl DQL-8 (don't know much about their products) I am running 3 amplifiers; 2 are strapped (for the subwoofers) and 1 is bridged (for the composets). I was using the 3SIXTY.2, though it did it's job perfectly, it's not very reliable. Since I already had 2 units with broke down. So I need your guys advice regarding a new soundprocessor. Currently AudioControl's DQL-8 looks to be my best, but I can hardly find any user reviews on the unit. Is it really any good? And more reliable than the RF 3SIXTY.2? If you have another option, please share it! Please advice! Thanks for your time and help in advance...

    Too many (good) subwoofers around.

Cause I am using the original Lexus HUD and amplifier. If I work around the Lexus amplifier, I will lose a lot of controls. So therefor I will keep using the 3SIXTY.2. Downgrade? LOL, not really. I am not very fond of the JL Audio products anymore. The 3 amplifiers really disappointed me in performance. I was expecting far more from them. The Soundsplinter subwoofers are not what I need, they do not perform like I wanted and they really sounded muddy, sloppy. Tried everything; from ported to sealed and different enclosure sizes. They did not do what I wanted them to do (= playing perfect). Going to use the D2904 tweets in some other project, so not for sale. Trunk size is about 13.3 cu.ft. But that's without the 2 batteries and so on. So it's really pretty limited. Hehe.

    Too many (good) subwoofers around.

Yeah, I did like the tweeters, but I prefer using a good filter in between though. Therefor CDT and I adored my old CDT set, which I had in the past. So... Anyways; trunkspace is the biggest problem of them all. That's why my first choice was the new Mag (and 3 of them) in a sealed enclosure. I guess the Havoc's, especially the 15" ones, will be a bit to big for my trunk. :S
  6. I am going to change my current setup and most parts I already have or will be shipped soon. One thing I am missing, is the subwoofersetup. Since this is really important to me, I need your guys advice. Just informational: Current setup: And the new layout...New setup: I was planning to go for 3 new Mag's from Stereo Integrity. But I am still looking at other options. One of those options, is 2x AA 15" Havoc's in a sealed enclosure. But that raises a few questions; I see mainly people here which use those subwoofers ported. But how do the 15" AA Havoc's sound in a sealed enclosure? And what is the minimum recommended sealed enclosure? I like the bass to be speedy (not sloppy), rarely missing notes, give a good punch and loud.
  7. Well I seriously hope 3 (three) new Mag's can perform similar as 2 (two) RE XXX (Mk I) models. Cause man I miss my old XXX subwoofers. Anyways the 3 (three) new Mag's will each get about 800W RMS approx. in a 1.0 cu. ft. sealed box each (or 0.8 cu. ft. per box with polyfill). And on another side, I am getting all my new equimpent complete, except for the subwoofers. So the wait is killing me.

    Uhm.... Batteries.

Well if they had alternators for my car: Lexus IS220 Diesel, I would change it... But I cannot only get a custom made and I need to supply them the information about the alternator, secondly I have to pay shipping (expensive) and customs tax. Then I need to hope it will fit. We are talking about 700 USD or even more. That is, if I am lucky. And even paying that kind of money, I am still not sure if it will fit. Nah I will take my changes with the current alternator first. Then I can still think about a custom alternator. Thanks for your input though.

    Uhm.... Batteries.

Well I contacted Indo Audio Electronics multiple times... And they kept saying "Next week", "Monday or tuesday, for sure", etc. All kinds of crap. And after I sent email xx, they refunded me. :S ...to be really honest, I wasn't very polite either in that last email. But man, it pisses me off, when you wait for over 43 days and they keep saying it will be in stock asap. Maybe you have better luck... Though I doubt it. Anyways back on topic; well I have to stick with the custom stock alternator, since it will be pretty hard to get a Lexus IS 220D alternator. And my cash-tree is starting to deplete as well. :S However stock alternator is pretty okay; about 130A. I will wire the batteries from the alternator, like explained in the "Big 3". If the alternator will not be enough, time will tell, I will let a custom one made. Though it will be expensie. :S So I am really wondering what battery to pick. Prices in the Netherlands are a killer when it comes to (car) electronics, etc... //edit Eh...? What did you say...? Come again....? I don't hear to well... Does that explain a bit how loud I listen? LOL

    Uhm.... Batteries.

After some thinking, I will be going for one of the following combinations: Option 1 :: 2x Northstar NSB75 Option 2 :: 2x Northstar NSB90 Option 3 :: 2x Northstar NSB60FT Option 4 :: 2x Northstar NSB90FT I am having problems selecting the right set of batteries for my new soundconfiguration: 2x SAZ-1500D strapped 1x SAX-100.4 bridged Would be nice if someone would tell me what would be sufficient (for daily listening). Also please keep in mind, that I am on limited trunk space (Lexus IS 220D). Thanks guys!

    Uhm.... Batteries.

Yeah sounds great, but I live in the Netherlands. I really doubt this group buy would work for someone outside the USA. :S Currently I am looking at the following batteries: 2x NorthStar Accu NSB 90 FT Or will 2x NorthStar Accu NSB 60 FT be sufficient enough?

    Uhm.... Batteries.

This is the problem... I ordered about 6 weeks ago 2 Kinetik Audio HC1800 batteries on Ebay at IndoAudio (yes, my own stupid mistake). And since then I didn't receive any batteries. Now I am looking to get my cash back from Paypal / Ebay. Anyways, I still need 2 good brand batteries, which can feed my amplifiers. Amplifiers in use (or soon to be used): - 2x (strapped) SAZ-1500D - 1x SAX-100.4 (bridged) What brands (and preferably what types) can you recommend. I am on limited space in my trunk for the batteries; so smaller in size is good, but bigger in size is a no go! Thanks for your help. /edit I currently own 1 Optima Yellow Top in my current car hifi configuration, but I am not at all pleased with the Optima Yellow Top (so don't recommend me these batteries!). TY

    The Mag is here.

    Great thanks Nick!

    The Mag is here.

A general question about the new Mag... (I may have missed this earlier though) The recommended 1 cu. ft. (or 0.8 cu. ft. with polyfill) is that before or after driver displacement?

    The Mag is here.

Great! I have sent you a reply as well.
