didnt know that, all i know is gm did some wierd stuff with their sound, like the old dash mount speakers, the factory dashmat completely blocks it out...., not to mention it was glued on, so i couldnt take them out to put the tweets in..

try running a 4" coaxial, gm has those wierd setups, or try looking at a plate 4x6, it basically a 4" with a tweet right next to it, all in the same unit, if you dont feel like busting out the sawzall for some panel mods...

How to replace Tinsel lead (Sub-Woofer repair)

we had fix a burnt end on an Fi 15 we didnt have a soldering iron around (the one thing i didnt have in my truck) so we used a crimp terminal, and JB weld to keep it from vibrating off, until we had to recone it, or had time and tools to solder it properly but i would recommend JB cold weld for people afraid to solder, i solder like a champ, but im still weary of getting that much heat that close to the sub, and when i do solder leads, i cover any susceptible area with thermal tape (aluminum with a sticky side, used on wiring harnesses close to exhaust systems), if u dont have of that, try aluminum foil in case of a fallout or dripping

you believe linex is good for the interior you have more blown fuses than good fuses your headlight looks like strobes, even with a cap and dual batteries youve blown more than one window out youve taken a hachet to a sub (been there done that) you havent seen a stock deck in years your suburban has 2 seats your neighbors hate you your brand new paint jobs already flaked off you have to reset the rear view mirror every few seconds your date thinks these are massage chairs you dont need to run the heater you have enough amps you buy new stereos more often than you grocery shop youve never had your stuff stolen, because they couldnt pick it up whenever your girlfriend hears, sub, amp, deck, she rolls her eyes and walks away "dont you have enough crap?"
