    I have a Question..

that bold section there, you sure about that? seems in all my years, i've heard some pretty damn impressive, bass heavy vehicles that didn't ahve a sub one. and few that had one small sub, but a very stout front stage. you might want to step back and rethink the road you are about to embark on. now, if she wanted 155+db on music as i saw mentioned earlier, then i'd agree. but she stated that she wasn't about impressing everyone else, and by dumping the mach 460 and building a solid front stage (which could be a nice 3-way setup), she wouldn't have to go anywhere near massive subs/power to have a nice bass havy, clean sounding and loud car. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Also some skilled welders, coffee nuts, gun collectors, and photography people. I don't know about skilled, but I do weld, gun collector/shooter, and I have done a lot of photography with old school film SLR's. i can make metal things stick together, i enjoy a good cup of coffee, i have quite a few guns and generally hit what i'm aiming at and i suck at photography... yep, pretty much sums this place up, lol...add in.. i have a mess of car audio equipment i will never use, testing equipment i didn't need, am a shadetree mechanic and don't have enough time to fully enjoy any hobby. wow.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. or instead of trading the amp in on one that will work with your subs impedence, you could amp up your electrical a bunch. a whole bunch, gotta keep the current flowing if you decide to play below an amp's rated impedence. but then again, for the money spent for all that, one could just trade their amp in..... just a thought. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Nope, haven't gotten a hold of checkering tools yet. damnit..lol... thinking of trading the g19 in on a cheaper 1911, used or otherwise, as long as it doesn't say kimber anywhere. thinking i want to build my off duty carry piece, instead of just buy it. thing is, all my carry is glock, all the same controls, nothing to relearn, ie; thumb the safety down. then again, i thought about trading all three glocks in on a coupel of 1911s, that would eliminate that problem, lol. but i really like the 13+1 of my g21sf, that's alot of 230gr slugs flying down range. oh well..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Prices?

nooo...your OP said he had teh sub/box and a sundown amp, total was $450...get him to sell the package for $350, he gets to keep the box. build your own box for less then the $100 you just saved, and you will have a great street beater setup. otherwise, i'd pass.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Prices?

jacob is sundown, ie: he owns the company, lol... L7s are great street pounders, put them in the right box, i'll put them up against any subwoofer. they aren't perfect, but no one sub is. but with the correct install, again, 90% of what a sub does/can do is based upon it's install, the L7 will run with just about anything. as far as what your OP asked, $100 less total package, and it's a good deal. let him keep the box, build your own. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Boost ok, but in it's simpliest form...boost is just another form of making displacement. your adding volume through compressing...so it's jsut a different form. so in a way...there is no replacement for displacement... yeah, i know, way more factors into that statement. i just wnat to be a prick. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nice, lol. i might be getting rid of my glock 19 and my charter 2000 undercover for a s&w 1911 pd and goodies. i'm neither a 9mm fan nor a 38spl fan, so no love lost there. the 1911 will replace the g19 on my hip off duty. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

alot of the concern about steel cased rounds is the durability in an aluminim reciever..also, in the strength of the extractor, though i don't know if it will be the same in a .308. also, the harder primes in russian mil surplus or similiar ammo. many ar guys will tell you that over the long run, the steel will erode away the aluminum in the chamber area, eventually causing stuff like headspace and bore diameter issues. or the steel cases will eventually wear down the extractor, of break the firing pin. also, you might need a stronger spring on the hammer just to set off the primers...all in all, it's over the long haul that steel cased ammo becomes a problem. btw, my ar hates stell cased ammo. i get lots of FTF, even when freshly lubed. my saiga though, lol...loves the stuff. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I have heard the aluminum wear issue. But I have heard more about the varnish on the steel getting gummy and into wrong places then hardening up to tha point you can't get it off. Thank you for the tip though! again, even the varnish issue is over the long haul, improper cleaning and getting the gun EXTREMELY hot at every session. not that that can't happen, but it's going to take a while, and require some laziness on your part, lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

For the stickers, simply peel them off and clean the adhesive residue with WD40. For badges, use a new, clean bondo applicator, then again, clean the adhesive with WD40. Just make sure the badges aren't affixed with a stud/nut. What can I take the badges off with? I'm not tooooo worried about the paint, I just don't want big chunks missing. did you not read the post? seriously..read his post. it's all there. that's all the hint you'll get.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

If you call him out, he's going to deny it. Try to ask around and see if anyone knows of anything about it. that's about all you can do...and if someone will admit to knowing, getting them to write it down in front of the police is a different matter. basicly, you're in a bad spot. you can request to file a report, they'll turn it over to the prosecuting attorny, but i doubt they'll act on anything. once you noticed the broken mirrrors, you should've parked the car and called the cops on the spot. filled out a report before you attempted to make repairs. they might have even rolled on over to the theatre and interviewed the x right then. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

jsut looks at all three glocks... g21sf, has ambi mag release buttons and mechanism and has both ambi and standard reliefs cut into magazines. g30sf..has only right side release, standard mag release mechanism, and no ambi reliefs cut into magazines g19..has only ride side release, standard mag release mech and has ambi release reliefs cut into magazines.. so my theory is bunk, but oh well. mkrader, now i wonder if yours is a sf only in the grip reduction? look into the mag well and see if there is a center lever to drop the mag, or one on the left side of the mag well..if you can. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

does he have big hands? if so, he might no like the grip, trigger reach is way short. the m version addresses that with a modular backstrap, ala m&p, h&k and others. otherwise, as ryan2 said, nothing wrong with them. based off the glock patents, they are extremely reliable, at least from what i've seen. i don't like them due to the trigger reach, i feel like i'm palming the gun istead of gripping it. however, i am thinking about one for the wife in .45. others to look at... glock 21 and 21sf. the sf stands for slim frame and it's all about a slightly shorter trigger reach and overall grip dimensions compared to the standard g21. g21sf also gives you an ambi mag release, which is worth about +1billion. i love my g21sf. fn 45...14+1 capacity, decocker and alll that jazz. a great gun thati'm thinking i might grab as my next 45. s&w m&p, modular backstrap, very reliable, and not as blocky as most. great shooter, it's on my must have list. there are othes, but price starts going up from those listed polymers...i want a sig p220 SAO, but $$$ says no,lol. of course any good 1911, no kimbers!!, should always be on the short list! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i'm with ray on this one, you'll be hard pressed to find problems with any of the polymer frame service pistols, it really comes down to personal preference. i've been playing with the g21sf for the last couple weeks and it is a very functional weapon, just not my style. i do like the overall simplicity of the glocks though, no safeties, de-cockers, hammers, etc. if your dad is like mine, he won't have time to practice a lot and just needs a firearm that will go off in the event he has to pull the trigger. oh yeah, the 21sf with the glock rail has a right handed mag release only (see picture), so like ray said if you want the ambi release make sure you're looking at the correct model. huh? my g21sf has a standard rail and ambi release... but then again, my g30sf has only the standard right side release... i did get my g21sf early, maybe they changed the production. but i don't know why..sf mags are the reason all new glock mags have the cut for the releas in the center. i got to look at my three glocks, ihave a theory, lol.. ryan2...no issues with your cz and slide splitting? i've heard there were some issues concerning the cz's metelorgy and their slides coming aprat, IIRC. and have you got a look at the 220 Single action only? you're a bit of a 1911 guy, you might appreciate that feature, i know i'm feinding for one, but alas there isn't one around here to fondle. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
