    2 DP21"s

Haha ya, I've gotten that a couple times today as people looked at it. A hair over 20 cubes, like 20.2, after displacement, with 300 sq in of port tuned to 32Hz.

    2 DP21"s

I got all the sides, port, and bottom done today. Going to start doing a little fiberglass tonight and hopefully finish the box up tomorrow. More tomorrow.

    2 DP21"s

Here are a few more pics of the subs. 12" P3 on the left and 13w7 on the right. Dwarfing the P3. I'll be finishing the box accept for the baffle today.

    2 DP21"s

Ok, I got one side and the front attached to the bottom. I also fiberglassed the port, with mat in all of the corners. Sanded edge. Going to finish fiberglass when the box is mostly fogether.

They're countersunk, that was just a piece together to make sure everything lined up.

    What Appeared In My Garage

This greatly depends on your box and your electrical upgrades. Box will be roughly 20 cubes after displacement, around 300 sq in of port, subs up port back. The dimentions aren't set in stone. I only have one yellow top in the back right now, but want to pick up a couple powermaster d3100's soon. I have a 240 amp alt, and a 290 amp DC alt with a duel kit on the way.

    What Appeared In My Garage

I pulled in my driveway earlier and this is what I stumbled across. These things are beastly. I will start work sometime next week when the rest of my stuff comes.
  9. I have never wired miltiple amps to one sub, so please bear with me. I have four JL Slash 1000/1v2's and two DP 21" 2 ohm dvc's. My question is; how do I wire two amps to each sub? Someone suggested that I wire each amp to each voice coil. As in wire one amp to one of the terminals on one sub, and another amp to the other on the same sub. Is this correct?

    What Appeared In My Garage

Any Idea on the power these will take. I know they're rated at 1500, but a few people have told me that they like a little more.

Yep. Edit: I guess I was a little slow with my answer ^ haha.

    What Appeared In My Garage

15"s on a golf cart haha. It's a work in progress, my Dad felt he should customize the golf cart before the next race series. Going to be pretty cool when it's done. I have a 12 in need of a recone I'm going to throw in it.

    Ensolite Or Not

I'm in some serious need of more deadener. I have decided, for the most part, on RAAMmat BXT. I'm just not sure if I should pair it with the ensolite or not. I'm sure it will help, but would it be worth the extra money (limited budget for now)? My main concern is the roof by the way. Thanks in advance for all suggestions and advice.

    Ensolite Or Not

O ok cool, I only ask because it says used to reduce rattles and ambient noise.

    Ensolite Or Not

Ya, roof flex is a problem, so I'm adding quite a bit od BXT to it. Just wandering if a layer or two of ensolite would reduce the ratteling significantly. Also would like some ideas of how to keep my headliner up, it's starting to come apart.

    What's Up

I'm new to this site so I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jeff and I'm in St. Pete, FL. I have a couple builds under my belt, but still learning a lot. I ordered some subs off of here a bit ago and will stard a build log when they're here.

    DP 21 Port

Yep, Suzuki is where it's at.

    DP 21 Port

I heard that as a rule of thumb, the port area should be about half of what the cone area in the box is. Is this a correct statement? Just seems like a lot of port to me. The box will be around 20 cubes after sub/port displacement, most likely a sub up port back setup. I will be using 2 DP 21"s on 4 JL 1000/1v2's in an 03 Expedition. Wanting to tune between 30 and 32 Hz.

    DP 21 Port

I have the electrical taken care of. And I have had the amps for a while, there what's installed now. And they're crazy expensive retail haha. I'm glad I got them from the shop that sponsored me before they went under.

    Thanks for the quick replys.

    DP 21" Box

It'll be something unique. My origional plan was to do four 18"s but I couldn't pay for the power right now. I have enough power for two DP's on hand, so I figured why not 21"s.

    DP 21" Box

I ordered two DP 21" D2's from here and was wandering on how I should place them. I'm going to power them with the four JL 1000/1v2's that I have now, and this is all going in an 03 Ford Expedition. I want the box to go behind the second row of seats, so I have about 35" deep, 48" wide, and 32" high usable space to work with. So my question is; should I wall them, or do sub up port back? I'm looking to get as loud as possible on music. All suggestions are appreciated.

    DP 21" Box

Ya thats what I was leaning towards, not ready to lose the back seats yet. My friend wants me to do sub up port up, but I don't think it'll be as good as port back. Any opinions on this?
