    speakers for BMW X1

I don't want to touch the car ! I'll get the Focal set for $320 and their specific 8" subs for $350 : those are french prices. That will be the easiest way to have a "nice" sound. Now I'm looking at the Audison Bitone : one of the few processors easy to install in this car.

    speakers for BMW X1

I can only fit shallow woofers in the doors. The choice is very limited ! I think I'll stick with the Focal, Audiofrog,or Match speakers made specifically for this car. What do you think about the Audiofrog GS8ND2 for midbass under the seats ? Are they worth the price ? Or should I find a regular 8" midbass speaker to fit there ?

The 1337 looks deep. I need to check that first. ill search for Mark Audio 4” mids.

Tang Band W4-1658SB 4" Midwoofer, what do you think?

    speakers for BMW X1

I'm ok with that : Midbass under the fr seats and killer 4" in doors, with my SSA tweeters. I don't want to go cheap, but if I can get cheaper 4" than those Focal or Audiofrog it would be good ! I already have a 4x60 w Incriminator amp and a 2x50w Zapco amp. I might get an Audison bit one to tune everything, unless I find something like a miniDSP.

    speakers for BMW X1

I don't know if I should use them at all. I was planning a simple 2 way + sub. That 4" is annoying. If a pair of midbass under the seat can work, why not ? That would be my first 3way+sub system. What should I look for ? I'm ok to make some compromise, but no, I cannot keep the stock system. No way !

    speakers for BMW X1

The Focal kit is a 2 way : mids and tweeters. I will have to find a spot for the tweeters. The car only have 4" coaxial speakers in each door, and 2 8" subs under the front seats. I don't want to do modifications on this car. I know 4" will be hard to work with, but I'm not going for competition. I just want something clear. People tells me to look at Audiofrog 4" ones. I don't know.

    The Family Friendly Rango

Good idea for the battery ! keep posting pics. I’m happy with my 2 Incriminator amps 20.1 and 3.4. I have them for years now.

sound system in an Hybrid car ?

I will post pictures of the future install! of course ! I think I will have to keep the OEM head unit. But I don’t know what equipment to get yet to use the amps.

sound system in an Hybrid car ?

I’m looking now at a small BMW X1 2.0 liters with about 190-200 hp. I’m still undecided.

sound system in an Hybrid car ?

They still have a charging system. Ok. Nice. I’ll have to look at their alternator. I will want to add a battery.

    Icon 12 review

So you want your sub to play mid bass ? I loved my Icon and found it was quite musical ! Sorry to hear you don't like it so much. (did you checked the settings on the head unit ?)

Enclosure Design for SSA Icon 12

Hello nice choice : the Icon is amazing ! 31 Hz will give you plenty lows. I usually try to tune around 30-34 Hz. Not much difference. I listen to rap, and reggae (dancehall and old school).

All my Audio friends has settled on down ??

I still have my setup playing in my CX-5, and I'm happy with it...everyday ! Sometimes I take a look at the forum, but I think all the traffic went to facebook and all their car audio pages. All the forums took a hit with all the social media apps. I can't say it's better now. I learnt so much from here...Thank you SSA.

Looking for new front stage drivers.

I don't know how loud are those 10s, but they should blend with your front stage ! It doesn't look like a monster sub setup (I may be wrong though). The Alpine type X are nice speakers, from what I remember. What don't you like about them ? Sometimes a new location can do wonders ! From the door to the A pillars or to the dash, you can have great improvements. What are your mids in ? a fiberglass box ? If so, it will be difficult to make them sound good ! Can't you use your doors only ? I'm not an installer, just thinking. You have good speakers, a good 4 ch amp : it's an install problem. You're in good hands with M5. Good luck.

    Need help deciding on components

Lots of good advice here ! Don't use rear speakers, they're useless, they won't be audible! Spend a little more on the front stage (better speakers, some deadening on the doors,...etc). You will never egret it. .

    New 12" hellion installed

How is set your LPF ? It seems low, but your picture is difficult to read !
  25. Notorious97200

    4 8s compared to a single 15.

How much volume do you have for your subs ? It looks like you still have (little) room left in the trunk ! Nice choice !
