    heared an AA SMD 18 recently : it goes looowww BUT not so much pressure when you compare to a Soundstream XXX in the same box. Was very surprised !

      Or just not what he was expecting, SMDs like smaller boxes than BTLs so i dont see the box being too big a problem so maybe its the other way around. Subs are made for two different goals, not all subs will have the same characteristics or have the same output.

      what was it tuned at ? I had to play with the port a bit before it made real pressure , it slams ... but needs tuning to get there ..

    Rain, rain, and rain again for 2 weeks : carpet won't stick to the box, sticker won't even stick (!!!).WTF ? I take the box as it stands now : I want to hear my sub in this enclosure NOW !

    Just listened to a 15" BTL N2 in a 3.1ft3 box at 33 Hz : AMAZINGLY loud and clean. The sub is brand new, so still stiff, but I love it.
