  1. i also have accsess to trade my head unit for another... either a alpine CDA-9855 or a pioneer DEH P860 MP

and PS im not scared to do a three way active infact i would love to.. but im not sure i have the head unit for the job.

800 or 880 PRS, 3 way active setting built right into the deck no need for ANY external processing, just deck to amp to speakers...makes thing a bit more simple

  2. I say go with the 1 15 everybody runs 2 12s that horse has been beat to death a million times over.... be different, break the mold, go with the 15. PLUS if you can match the box to your car (box pos. tuning. ect...) you will be louder than all those best buy MTX, JL, Rockford brainwashed punks with less area. That would be way more impressive, at least in my eyes, to do more with less.

  3. OK has anybody actually gotten a amp yet? I got the fed ex email on the 9th and then I emailed them on the 13 about the no change in status with the fed ex order, and now today is the 18th (5days later) and still no changes. look im not is a rush at all and im not bitchen about the delays. I just hate hearing a few more days, a few more days, 1 more week.... look if its going to be a month fine just tell me its going to be a month. That way my heart wont stop every time i hear a diesel truck drive by.

  4. the manual link doesnt work but i'm curious about that oscope..

I can't find what's the max voltage it can read up to?

This is very important dependent on exactly what amp(s) you are trying to setup...

Also, from the comments i was reading.. looks like users will be replacing LI batts in that thing quite often as there is no low voltage protection which damages the battery if let drain all the time.

80 volts on the previous model....

  6. hmmm very cool, but these things will have to be sold for under 150$ otherwise for 200 to 250 you could just buy a O-scope and be able to use it on everything and anything electronic in your home , at work, etc. Not just your amps in your car. Still very cool seems like he has found a way to dumberize setting gains for those who are less common sense endowed

  9. Since you have to ask....don't buy BTL's.

X 2 no wait X100000, I dint really have to read the rest of this thread bc you stated in the first post "whats the maximum amount of watts it can take" this shows you dont know enough about audio to be buyin something this serious. DO you know how much currents the amp your choosing will draw?

well bro u are right i do not know much about car audio and this is why i posted this thread. I looked at auido q amps and found an amp that pushes out 2200 watts rms and has 200 amp fuse rating. as i mentioned i dont know much, is this enough to power a 12 inch fi. should i go with a 3000 watt amp? ur help is very much appreciated

OK OK OK I am a jack ass so just keep this in mind....I think the point that we are all getting at here is how much will have to go into putting 6000 watts on two BTL's in your car. We are talking 2 alternators each 200 amps minimum, 2 3100 batteries OR MORE. The subs, Box and Batteries will probably weight in at around 400 pounds give or take so you may have to add helper spring to your car. If you are totally aware of what will have to go into this we will help. You just gotta understand that we get 100 of these questions a month and 99 out of those are some high school puck just talking shit. Those sub in a proper box will get stupid on 2K and in that case you could save money and get BL's.

  10. does this mean your going to be coming around here asking sub A vs sub B questions??? or tell us about your s10 your going to put 3456789 DP 21's in??? Ahhh I kid I kid welcome to SSA, good to have some people who will be able to contribute in a positive way to the better good of the site

  11. i was wondering how many of you guys use ipods over cd's and cd changers in your cars? do you get the same quality out of the ipods that you would from cd's? this may sound stupid and i know it doesnt make sense so please correct me here, but im under the impression that music will play louder and better from cd's over using a ipod...again i know it sounds stupid..but id like to hear some opinions from the ipod users here

well I use a ipod bc I am not responsible enough for a CD, I will scratch them, misplace them, put then in the wrong cases...etc. So i use an Ipod, I use the pioneer cb100 cockenbober somethin erother hooked up to my HU in the sig below the sound quality is not bad at all. Now I have seen ppl use a 3.5mm head phone jack and they sound like jack, also those FM transmitters are junk. If you dont have all of your speaker in your car replaced with something NICE not rockford infintiy or any or that mainstream crap but real SQ orientated stuff with proper sound deadening then you will probably never know the difference

  12. ok well check the voltage coming from your car anything over 12 is good. and 12 volts coming from the remote also. Then after that.......your f$ed with out the amp here with one of us we can test anything. what does it do when you hook it up? any light noises anything????

oh and check all of those fuses and that one 30 amp one seems odd to me but check all of them to make sure they are all good.
