    8" subwoofer, which to choose??

I am looking for a decent sounding 8. I've done some research and for me its between these 3 brands, mostly because i have found each one at a pretty decent price since im real low on cash and yet want one. A JL audio w0 or w3, Image dynamics ID8 v3 D2, or diamond audio D308D4 8". As far as the Diamond audio goes, i cant find any info as far as testing goes, but it has a 2.5" voice coil and i thought that was pretty cool, now that i say that im looking at the website and cant find specs for the 8 so i really am doubting it has that size voice coils. This will go into a small sealed box about .4cu/ft built by me. I am not looking for super-mega-head-hurting-vision-blurring bass, just clean accurate stuff. This will be powered by a JL Audio e4300 which is rated at 150rms@4ohms bridged. Any other brands i should be looking at?, i just have never used an 8 before so i dont know where to start looking. Thanks

    Components 6.5 recommendations

I am looking for some 6.5 inch components, RIght now i have a set of Swiss Audio sak-650's in small sealed boxes and Pioneer Ts-A1702c which are also 6.5 inch but i built small boxes tuned to about 45 for those. I would like something better than this and i would put them in the ported box. I am using these at home so mounting stuff is not a problem. Also for me the pioneers are better. what would you recommend? Also price is kinda of an issue, so the cheaper the better. Thanks

    Problem with XT4000d

    Problem with XT4000d

Well i hooked it up again and it seemed to work! actually it worked. Now my questions how do i bridge it? The amp has + - - + and i asked the usamps tech he told me the 2 far outputs but they are both +. How do i do it? The other thing this amp has is the speaker screws are stripped and wont tighten. I did buy this used ha

    Problem with XT4000d

Oops. Well i kinda figured it should be around there so i set it to .004 which is the closest i could get it. Could that be causing the amp to not work?

    Alpine type E sub box?

Ok so i have a 10" alpine type E laying around and i have a 66 bug with an amp missing a sub. So i got this crazy idea of building a box for the sub to put in there. My question, I only build ported for personal reasons but i want to know what should i tune the box too? I'm giving it 1.5ft^3 internal space not counting sub or port. I was originally going to tune to 32hz, i like low bass but i know its only a 10 and not the best, actually i have no experience with alpine. I can only compare it to my RE Audio Sr10 which wasn't to bad with a 1ft^3 box tuned to 30hz in my other bug. What would you tune this sub too? powered by about 200wattsrms. I also listen to ALL types of music, i like low bass but dont mind the high either. Also i may keep the box and maybe upgrade the sub later, any suggestions. I'm up for lower power subs that sound good, no brands like pyle, jensen, or Fi. JK about the last one haha

    Problem with XT4000d

Im using my ipod as input like all my other amps just to test them out. I haven't gotten around to trying it out again im just scared of dissapointment again. Let's just say no sound, also i checked the voltage on the speaker outputs and they say like .004 volts. I also noticed a little adjuster thing and i turned it very little and saw that it raised or lowered the voltage at outputs? does this have to be set somewhere? It will also give a - voltage reading so im guesing it swithces polarity if i turn the dial down. I tried setting it at 0. Did i screw something up?

    Raise ohms?

I didnt read the part about just HU and speakers, sorry ha

    Raise ohms?

I don't use a HU because it sucks up power the amp could be using and it's kinda hard to get a HU to look alright with all its wires and whatnot. For me my ipod works great! i even plug the input jack to my tv sometimes with my PS3, works great it's not surround sound but i like it.

    Problem with XT4000d

Ok the only thing is im not sure if it made the click before when it worked. I think thats what they are called relays, but relays are like fuses that cut power off right? I'm getting no noise outta the amp. Is there anything i should check? I've checked all connections and remote and everything, i was going to switch amps out then i found out it didnt work.

    Raise ohms?

Its not really a secret ha. A $52 power supply on ebay with shipping! its rated at 13.8v 25amps. It does lack some power when i really turn it up but im running the xt-1600.4 with 2 components and a 15 bridged 3&4 with the gain all the way down on the 15. and the alpine m450 running the JL 12W6v2. it gets loud enough to shake my whole house lol. Here is a link to the store http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Asia-Engineer__W0QQ_armrsZ1 I am gonna buy another one soon, they work great and have an automatic fan.
