    RL-i 10" S4 - 1ft^3 @ 36Hz?

I was originally pushing the RL-p 12" D4 with a Directed 1200t @ 1000w RMS 2ohm bridged in a 1.25ft^3 net sealed enclosure, with the gains turned down a bit. The 1200t has moved to my closet for a while due to its size... just too big for my little car. For the last month I've been running an eD SQ10 in a nice stealth hatch enclosure. It's a pleasant sounding sub but I'm craving more output and lower octaves. I'm hoping the RL-i 10" will be a nice compromise. E

    RL-i 10" S4 - 1ft^3 @ 36Hz?

For the near future I'll be running a Boston Acoustics GT-22 bridged @ 325-350w.
  3. My RL-p 12" died so I'm looking for a replacement. My ride is tiny, Scion xA, so real estate is limited. That being said, I'm leaning towards a 10" rather than another 12". I already have a nice ported 10" enclosure that fits well and was wondering how the RL-i 10" would perform in 1ft^3 net tuned @ 36Hz. Thanks in advance! E

    RLp-12 repair

Thanks. I found Mike's email address and sent him my repair request. The sub is silver coned, looks like the signature subs, but has the SS logo rather than the signature. It was manufactured in '06, I believe. E

    RLp-12 repair

OK... Buddy wanted to buy my RLp-12 and 'try it out' before paying up. He neglected to adjust gains and crossover on his amp, much to my chagrin, and burned up the voice coils. Apparently his head unit did not have a sub RCA pre-out, so he used the rear RCA pre-outs, which was sending full range to the subwoofer amp. Additionally the gains were turned all the way up (he has some Audiobahn 1000w RMS amp) and the crossover was wide open. So, after connecting the amp he popped in a CD and proceeded to send a full range signal at max gain the RLp-12 for about 30-45 seconds. The result: burned voice coils and the sub seized What are my options to get this guy repaired? My buddy will foot the bill for repair but isn't willing to buy me a new RLp-12. I'm pretty ticked, but he's a good friend so I'll let it slide. I'm not sure what version the RLp-12 is, but I'll take some pictures if that will help. Thanks, E

    Anyone using IB3?

I'm currently running an eD SQ10 in a tiny sealed stealth enclosure (see this thread in the eD forums for pictures) in the rear hatch of my Scion xA. It sounds ok but I'm looking for something a bit louder and lower. I'm considering replacing the hatch floor with 3/4" MDF and going with a 12" IB3 I should have just enough clearance for it. But, I've searched the forums and haven't seen any mention of the IB3. I'd probably pick up the SVC 2ohm version and put about 500 watts to it from a bridged Boston GT-22. Thanks in advance for any input. E
