dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm, for a saz-1500d?

thanks Derrick, let me go order my sub now lol i F'n love this forum!
  3. ok heres my question (sorry if i seem like an idiot lol), I own a saz-1500d, and im planning on going with a single AQ HDC3 15" but what has had me stumped is if to buy a dual 1 ohm and wire the sub in series and then bridge it to the amp, or would it be a dual 2 ohm wired in parallel and connected to one of the inputs and not bridged, because what im trying to achieve is to have the amp play at 1 ohm at 1500 rms. the reason why i ask is because on the forum here i saw a a post that says the amp is not bridgeable, because it is a 1 ohm mono, but then on the manual the diagram appears as if it is bridgeable if going with a single sub setup, im obviously reading one of them wrong so basically i want to be positive with which route to go before i order my sub. someone please help me even though im a newb lol, thanks fellaz

    (2) 12" sdc2.5's OR (1) 12" hdc3... off a saz-1500d

but wouldnt that be pushing it close to its limits considering the 1500d is only rms and peak would be about double that? because thats 2500 peak on music im guessing right?

    (2) 12" sdc2.5's OR (1) 12" hdc3... off a saz-1500d

oh wowwww, ur right, sorry about that i didnt even notice at all! i guess that cancels out the 2 sdc2.5 12's then.. looks like now it would be 2 sdc2.5 10's, which i rather not do because the 15" alone has more cone area then both 10's, so it looks like it will be either the hdc3 12 or 15, what do u guys think copper or aluminum coils for 1500 rms on music?

the 15" hdc3 is definitely something i really want, the only thing that scares me is the size of the box that it would need to be in, because im not sure if i have the amount of space needed, yeah i know i have a caddy, but i also have a daughter with another one on the way (lol) so i kind of need some trunk space for all the crap i need to be lugging around.. but definitely a big consideration, i guess i have to take some good measurements in my trunk and go from there, but for now i guess lets consider the 15" also

no it will be going into a 2000 cadillac deville, blow through either the armrest or top deck
  9. hey whats up guys I made up my mind and decided to go with audioque, and now i just dont know if to go with the 1 hdc3 12" or go with 2 sdc2.5 12's, i would be using a sundown saz-1500d for the amp, now i know they say the more cone area the louder it will be, but dam i am very interested in that 1 hdc3 12" lol, oh and also if i were to go with the one 1 hdc3, what do u guys recommend aluminum or copper coils? i would be using it for daily music, mostly listen to hip hop, and i want some decent lows, but remember i want the loudest heard, which many say is different then actual spl setup, but im not a pro so i maybe very wrong, the point is im going with very loud mids and highs in the car, and i would like to match it up with some nice bass.. i also plan on going with a blow through box, probably designed by pete kulicki, andy opinions or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

hey whats up fellas, new to the site, and a little frustrated and impatient lol, for a minute i was so positive with the sub i was going to go with for whatever reason it was, but basically it was suppose to be a single aq hdc3 12" and now i dont know if thats the sub i should go with, after searching on various forums and this one, i hear that the aq hdc3's might not be what im looking for, but anyways here is what my status is: 2000 cadillac deville using a sundown audio 1500d amp, $400 budget for sub(s), a blow-through pete kulicki designed box, used as a daily driver, and for the box 3.0 to 4.0 cu ft is what i have to work with due to the fact that i have a daughter and need to carry strollers and other items in the trunk on a daily basis, so for the enclosure i really cant go that big, honestly im not good with the whole box tuning freq. thing yet so until then all i can really say is i do listen to a lot of hip hop and spanish music, and as corney or as young as it may sound i want it to be as loud as possible, am i into sq yes, but then again for the setup i am going with which is very very loud mids (pro audio for voice), im not sure if the sq will actually matter in the end, but then again i dont know.. as for spl competittions, no the build is not for any spl comps, just for loudness clarity and bragging rights to the buddies lol subs I've looked at as a possibilities all in 12" sizes: ssa xcon (someone mentioned they have good sq, and high output, but i dunno why i havent been sold on it yet) aq hdc3 dc audio lvl 4 or lvl 4xl (seen a lot of hype on them lately, but i honestly dont know there going price, and i emailed rusty, no respone yet) fi btl or fi bl for all the subs above i have not heard any play, all i have gone is off hype on forums, budget, and youtube (im sure some of u will get probably mad at that one, but hey its the truth lol) i guess in the end i want the best bang for my buck, i dont care for the brand in reality, clarity and loud will do the job for me lol, if any of u guys have any suggestions plz do post some input, i already have everything for my mids and bass amp, so all im wating for is the sub and what box to end up going with, oh and also the reason why im going with a blow-through is because i want as less vibration in the trunk as possible and more bass in the cabin, considering its a sedan, and i will be using second skin for sound deadening in the trunk but not a crazy amount either.. im open to the idea of multiple subs as long as its an a blow-through (3-4 cu ft.) design and in the budget..
