Update, I am pretty much ready for my box and sub's to come in, I will be up and bumping. I am fairly pleased with the way this turned out so far let's hope it sounds good lol on to some pics I will be moving this ground if my box get's in the way I order all matching wires and of course i forget to get some blue 4 gauge How do you guys think the amps look? should I change it around? Coming through the firewall I cut inside the foam so the wire can fit right through and flush More wires!!! Still more to come. Sorry i didn't take pics during the install. it was 40 degrees out and i was in work mode lol Still have to figure something out with my super tweeters

I noticed this when I did my first Install and I didn't think much of it at the time because I was assuming my Alternator had a major roll to play with this. I received and installed my 270 HO alternator from DC. I am still getting really bad voltage drop at idle. Well i am driving it's fine i stay at 14.4-14.6... Once i hit a red light it drops down 12.2-12.4ish. If the heat or AC is on at idle i wanna cry The only thing i have running in my car at the moment is my sundown 100.4 and i have 2x XS d3100 installed. 1 in the hood and 1 in the back. I did some research and I read on trailvoy.com that the car PC tells the alternator to shut off at idle....called a dealership and they said thats not true. so any advice will help Thanks an advance!

A LITTLE update.... I did a LITTLE more work yesterday. I am redoing all my wires from my previous build, checking everything twice making sure it's perfect. I am trying to pin point my idle voltage drop issue. I redid my big 3 yesterday double up all my grounds and 2 runs of power from alternator to battery. The HO alt i originally received from DC was black and white powder coat but they accidentally sent me the wrong casing... I didn't wait to wait any longer so I just went ahead and had them send me a regular one with no color. makes no difference to me lol. double stands from frame to battery Under the car where i connected the grounds to the frame. The nut was to big for the ring terminal's and due to lack of the right tools i had to sit there for a half and drill the holes bigger lol double short run's 6ish" from battery to frame More pics to come I forgot to take some

I doubt it. i just got the truck last year and i was unaware of an issue with the tail lights. can you tell me more about it. i am searching for what your talking about right now also

After i got my alt installed the shop hooked a machine up that read how meny amps my car was pulling. and it was pulling 113 amps with everything off at idle There is a serious issue here somewhere. Even with all the lights on, AC running and windows going up and down, you shouldn't be drawing anywhere near that. Is the vehicle starting okay? the only thing I can think of that would cause that large of a draw would be the starter which would lead me to believe the solenoid was sticking somewhat or arching, but you would hear it. Only other thing I can think of it the cooling fans are staying on along with whatever other draws. Could also be a short in one or both of the batteries. sigh i hate my luck lol. Car starts just fine. no random noise or anything. what would be the best way for me to find out what's drawing power? is there a way to find that out? also i should say it happens sometimes at red lights or idle. i would say 95% of the time it happens

even with the 4 channel unhooked i get this issue... Connected DMM to the batteries they read fine at idle. I had an optima redtop in the hood before the XS and it did this with that berrter also. I am 100% sure its not the batteries or the alt. I am clueless. I am replacing all my wires this weekend. so hoping that helps or fixes it. still looking for opinions tho

No worries. I know where you are coming from. I understand everyone's point about PSI. I like to try new and diffrent things. I am going with PSI because they seem like a decent woofer for a good price. I just wanted to hear them my self because alot of people i know are cerious also, so since I am doing a rebuild I went ahead and ordered the PSI for my personal experience and to help out some other's who have questions and is cerious about PSI also. Plus theres are only temperory, I will be upgrading to Argent Audio sub's when they are available

Finally got a few thing's sorted out.... I decided and after much research and talking with friend's that if I went with 2x 18" in such a small enclosure I would be losing a lot of low's that i really don't want to lose. I decided to go ahead and put 2X 15" in the proper enclosure. It's the same enclosure I have planned with the double tunings inner changeable port's. I ordered Platform 2 PSI subs *Pink Star Industry* Pic's coming soon for the sub's I have been slacking on this update for a little while so here are some new pics of what i have received so far These are my new Oxygen Audio pro mid's. THESE THINGS ARE LOUD. they will keep up with my sub stage for sure. I also received some Crescendo super tweet's I want to use them but I did not realize they were that big!!!! READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!! LOL This is a goofy video but will explain much *ReAL goofy* I can't find the pic that should go after this one, so until i do... what do you guy's think it could be!!! Well i am sad to say chop i am doing no work at the moment due to Sundown running out of NS.v 2 motor's i will not be doing any work for a while or if i figure out another option. The amount of room i have limits me to an 18" sub that like's for cubes and there isnt much out there :( Anyone have any idea's i am open to all!!!! :suicide-santa:

All my pioneer's along with my friend's and other friend's i have here on SSA the HU starts to send a clipping signal at 49+ everyone i know that use's a pioneer is volume 48 and lower. not sure if that fix's your prob or not just giving you my .02 on the HU Good luck!
