Two Videos To Watch With Open Minds

    Someone call George Noory..
  2. I've built a couple of hundred boxes all the way from 2 6w0s in a Ranger to 3 Shockers in a 200SX wall(12 10"s earlier in the same wall) and 8 12"s in my Eclipse I used to have, as well as the run of the run of the mill multiple 13W7s, JUGGS, 2 12"s and everyday beaters middle of the road subs, as well as helping db drag and MECA guys at any opportunity cause that's how I get down to always give a helping hand. Now that I finally got a job my next future woofers will be beasts and I know simple screws will shear and break. My problem is (and I have TRIED T nuts before with dissapointing results mounting them) I need you guys' help. If anyone can take a few pictures and tutorial on how to PROPERLY mount them I would greatly appreciate it. I am by no means a noob but that's always been my weak point. BTW you guys are awesome on this board and I've been installing for 10 years and still learn stuff from you homies. Thanks and keep it up. BTW I have LEAP 5.0 and am a huge enclosure nerd so if anyone needs help I'm glad to assist. Now if I can just get sefugi(sp?) to paint my rusty car it will all be good.. Chris aka The Buzz

Since everyone seems to want Neo...

Lemmme Test it.... :):):):): And design a couple of stupid enclosures for it..

    o-scoping amps can be dangerous...

I think Meade set his new gains o-scoped with no loads attached (at least that's what was on the YouTube vids). And I've scoped amps with low impedance speaker loads cranked attached with no problems. An O-scope is a very high impedance addition to a circuit just like a Multi Meter and should cause no problems. And I agree, I would be near wanting new replacement amps at this point. You have lemons and the company is going to be wasting way too many man-hours repeatedly repairing and beating on the amps over and over. Anything else is lose/lose IMO.

    Big Dave's Truck Project

Big Dave, I have had somewhat the same experience as you though to a much lesser degree. I worked at one shop for a while that was the best in this part of the state and did nice stuff because people would pay but otherwise Ive spent untold years of hell in slam dunk shops where they want it done quick not right, which I refused to do so I would get yelled at for taking a little longer and fixing everyone else's F-ups even from other locations. With that mud slung, you have really gave me some new ideas with your build and when I do my next personal large scale build I will do things a little differently even if it takes a lot more time. I really appreciate the planning you put into the job and I realized I'm gonna have to learn to WELD... Thanks for the pics and info and I am all for how to's and progressions so any pics you have on building up I'm game. The more I look at it the more I LOVE the amp rack and really like the mad system control up front. I'm Glad I'm not the only lover of outboard EQ's left. Kick Arse Bro

    8th order bandpass

I've had success with 4th and 6th order. The only time I tried an 8th order it was a train wreck and I realized it has to be PERFECT and will not always output the way it models on a program to the degree most other enclosures do. When I have something to play with again equipment wise I'm going to give it another shot because the design looks like it has potential.

    Big Dave's Truck Project

Thanks for the great pics! I don't feel like such a dinosaur anymore. Old school true car audio with excessively nice workmanship. I have to say I haven't seen a huge build with that much forethought to the structural integrity and not having a big portion being "screw in" jobs in a long time. And as a "Ducktales"/"Fishman" fan years ago the story was awesome. Best luck in the future with the truck! It makes me want to break out my tools and start cutting stuff out again. A++ PS Enjoy the Busa Its my dream bike but I settled for a GXSR1000 for a while, someday maybe I can move up..
