I've pretty much reached the point to where i'm sick of the car audio shops ive been dealing with and their bullshit, I really need to learn how to install my own stuff. What do you guys think is the best way for me to learn how to install car audio.

Well something is definatley messing up the signal in my car cause I know my system is set up right cause it sound great before then everything just started sounding more and more distorted. I replaced my battery and it sounded good for like half a day then sounded like crap again. I always have some pros hook up my stuff for me. I'm bout to order some knu-concepts and have all the wiring redone, hopefully this will solve my problem.

I'm running a dsc 450 right now and it sounds like crap, sounded so bad I unhooked all my amps. I figured it was the amp, but mabey it's something else. Do you guys think I should just invest in some new speaker wire instead, i've been running a shitty pyle 4 channel kit for several years now? BTW my speakers are jbl power series, a pair of of 6x9 and a pair of 6.5's

I need to buy a new 4-channnel amplifier and I think i've narrowed it down to three amps and was wondering which would have the best sq. 1.I-450 - Zapco iForce Series 360 Watt Amplifier 2.Memphis 16-PR4.50 3.Kicker 08ZX350.4 Can anyone vouch for these amplifiers and if anyone has any other suggestions tell me. I need an amp that can put out around 75-100rms at 2 ohms for around $200 or less

Never was able to get it checked today out since it's easter sunday, but I got my dad to help me switch out the battery with a better one we had laying around in the garage just for the heck of it to see if It would help and now my voltage is back around 13 and sounds alot better. Thinking of making video of the Dcons later this week!

Alrite thanks for the info I think ill head up to auto zone and have them check everything out for me, hopefully I can get this all figured out, seems like my electrical is most likely culprit of all the other probblems i've experienced the past several months

Crap this doesnt sound good for me, what exactly is a dmm and could I just go by a shop and get them to check it out for me instead of buying 1 myself, thanks for the advice

Something funny has been going on with my sound system the past two weeks. I've been noticing that the bass from my subs and door speakers sound distorted . This is not all the time though, my system will sometimes sound perfectly clean and then go back to playing with the distorted signal again. My electrical is currently stock with 2 gauge wire, a capacitor and my sub amp is a sundown sa 125.2 which does get very hot. I have previosly blew all the fuses in my amp but they were replaced at a local shop. My voltage is usually bouncing around between 10 and 12 according to the meter on my cap. What do you think my problem is and how can I fix it?

Damn I wish I would of checked back earlier I probly would of bought the FC box, but anyways I got a New box coming in tommorow (2.5 cu.ft. after woofer displacement tuned to 31hz). My current box is about 3 ft. after displacment tuned to 39hz.(i know it sucks) The dcons are pretty loud right now but I know i've been missing out on some powerfull low end. What kind of differecnces can I expect from my new box, I know it will hit the lows and sound alot better, but will I lose some volume because it's smaller or will it be even louder?

I'm only feeding my dcon 10's 200 rms a piece which really gets them moving and they are ridiculousy loud. I honestly have to show alot people what I have in my trunk for them to belive that my system is only two 10's on 400 watts. Just got my amp fixed and new eclipse 5030 head unit installed today and I forgot how loud these lil bastards were (scary to think that they arnt even in the right box yet). Big thanks to denim for recommending eclipse headunits to me, the sound quality is like night and day from my previous ones.

I'm pretty sure his electrical is stock, i'm not sure if he's willing to spend the money to ugrade it, but money probly wont be a problem considering he drives three different pimped out cars. Considering he leaves his electrical stock wich would be the best choice, which would be the best choice if he decides to upgrade his electrical. I'm pretty sure just wants a really loud daily setup.

He wants to put it in an toyota avalon too, I think, he has two chevy caprices too but I think he want to put it in the avalon if I'm not mistaken.

To be honest he probly just listens to rap and is mainly concerned about it being a really loud daily driver to show off with since"I want my shit to be boomin smitty" is really the only preference he gave me. My buddy does'nt really know too much about car audio or any brands past the mainstream stuff, I'm sure any of these subs would be a real eye opener to him. He'll probly be pushin his system really hard alot whichever sub he gets which is the only reason i'm concerned about the DR's handling 1500+rms on a daily basis.
