    slot port question

Sorry, but those aren't the same. You aren't making this easy as you are leaving out a lot of information. I am making the assumption that the internal dimensions of the port are what you gave me and that the 3cuft stays constant either way. In other words since your info is incomplete, I am assuming that your ports are on the outside of your box. From the numbers you gave, neither box was tuned to 34Hz like you stated: more like 40 and 28--but that is very dependent on how you read your question as well.

    Problems balancing sub w/front stage

Once you set everything with a DMM it should be pretty close. Then just back down the gains on the fronts until the sub/fs blend is to your liking. Those 5x7's could be very treble biased and obnoxious as well. Are you planning on putting a 5.25" coax or component in instead? It would sound much, much better. If you can manage up to 6.5"---Woot! Good luck.

    Car tint

Good idea, if you think carpet is bad try tinting a really curved window. Beeeeyotch!!!! It is not fun. The flat ones are pretty easy (in comparison) though. $150 is reasonable and probably would cost you more than half of that just for supplies. Would make a great Xmas present. Oh, and of course we expect before and after pics. MN is a female dog. 50% on any windows in a car....mine are 30% and no troubles yet.

So i just purchased my RLPs

The box doesn't like to be sealed? I don't quite understand... Bracing is a definite necessity, unless of course it is in my box. He, he...overbuilt! Braced anyway.

    New US Amps on ebay

Hey, just get one from Flakko. His are the right ones.
  8. At the moment, I think I am going to buy Supa's RE for just a single 10 and a set of PG 6.5" Coax's from Partsexpress. The total comes to the "limit" of $100 and should be okay for the boat. If anyone has coax's that they deem better (with about 50wrms) for near the price I would buy them too.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I have the sorriest excuse for a router, grandpa hand me down. The blade holder is broken, but with a vise grip I can get it to work. That and some Ryobi carbide bits and it cuts like butter, but you have to check and make sure it is set right a few times first. Drills, bang for the buck I like the Ryobi cordless Pro's. The Pro's have metal gears instead of the flimsy plastic ones that most others have. Almost Dewalt/Milwaukee quality for half the price. I have a funny azz radial arm saw too, think it was bought at Ward's in 1960 but it works real well. For a ripsaw I use a couple of clamps, a 2x4 and my 1965 skilsaw (with a carbide blade). Dang MDF is so glue filled it rips the crap out of anything non-carbide.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Shut the fudge up you whiny pansy ass son of a female dog. Don't come on my goddamn turf and tell me that I've turned into an ass. I've been an arseho from day pucking one, and I am goddamn proud of it. All I want for Christmas is a motherpucking half-assed coherent sentence out of you - is that so much to ask for? Don't be coming on here and throwing a pissy fit because you're a pucking loser. "Hey I haven't been around the forums for a long time. I noticed that I didn't get voted in as a moderator, that's too bad, I'm going to whine and complain in every post I make ... hopefully someone will feel sorry for me." "Hey Goob, can I suck your cock and become a moderator?" "Thanks Goob, I'm a moderator in the Lounge. I feel so cool. My ego just went through the roof. My 16 year old girlfriend I met on Myspace will think I'm awesome now that I have a job. I'm going to get a T-Shirt that says 'I'm a moderator on an online message board!' - that'll get me the ladies." "People are female doging about me being a mod. Time for me to get all emo again and hopefully people will feel sorry for me." "Oh no. People on the internet that I don't even know don't like me." "I'm going to resign as a moderator now." Grow some goddamn balls and learn how to play the little game called "real life". Woot! LOL

    rl-p vs alpine type x

Well, IMO the X is an SPL sub and the Rlp's are SQL which with the split your asking would be the way that I would go. I am a little biased, but between the SS service and the clarity of the product I am sure you would be happy with the Rlp's. If you really want loud do the 15's in a ported enclosure...
