I have something coming in the mail...

8kW? You think that is enough?
  4. Love the resin idea. Actually covered all the wood supports in my car so I could fill it with water to check volume. Didn't want the dang mdf turning into spongeboard. I do like the al/rubber idea not only for moisture but the hot/cold outdoor air exposure as well. Probably deteriote the foam/paper much, much faster. Any other rec'd, or is anyone selling anything?

    Welcome to the IHoP

I really hope they go all the way, but I don't see it happening. I don't think they can handle the pressure of advancing in the playoffs. Probably good they lost. Now they can rest their starters and resume the winning streak in the playoffs. This is the cinderella year. Of course the Vikes had one in 98 and the NYG really stopped our run. Boo! --I made my fantasy football championship, but the guy I play has Peyton and Harrison (I have the Edge). I hope they all play a quarter and get benched for backups!

    Updated Project pics

Looks sweet, I assume the horn will fire off to the side since there will be a bar on top? Have you engineered a way to remove the subs/switch them out without destroying the enclosure? Oh, and I wouldn't carry that up a dry driveway. Get some help!
  8. The usefulness of 10' of wire (big 3) is WAY, WAY, WAY beyond what a cap ever could do. If that doesn't solve the dimming, you pretty much either need to go the alternator route but you will probably be surprised as it might be unnecessary (even though 80 amp isn't exactly a big alt)

Would you guys stop making me go there and read. Didn't know who Fatr was, but I do now. F'in idiot. Claims to be a genius but when you read the posts he starts...wow! He is the sort of noob that comes into your store and sits there and bugs the chit out of you, then he turns around and invites anyone he meets to hang out there. FR=teh svck!

That's when it is time to "slap a ho"
  12. Umm, Vladd the Hop is not here. He, he I don't think a "marine" sub is necessary. My goal is to downfire the sub mounted underneath one of the dash pods so it will be protected from the elements pretty darn well. Anyone have a rec'd?

Hey your home of Komatsu and Caterpillar too! Go big or go home. Watch the Colts do a Vikes, 15-1 and out in the first round.

Your about the 4th person I know that is targetting Kong tonight...wtf?
  15. Yep sounds like a voltage problem. Does it only happen when you are "pushing" the system?

    carpet...

Being you drive an SUV, I'd surely use some carpet. I just buy what is cheap. The fuzzier it is the easier it is to hide the seams.

    Radar Detectors

I've got an old Bel 840i (I believe). When I say old, it is at least 5 yrs old. Seems to work just fine, fairly ready to give false alerts but pegs the real ones as well. NOTE, they are useless without the eyes that you pointed out in your initial post. I bought it originally for about $130-150 (too long ago to really remember). When I bought mine Bel was supplying the MN cops with Radar's, so I bought a Bel. The reviews that I have read recently rate the PP8500 and Val1 as the best. Beware of used ones though as both have gone through a few firmware updates and hardware which could make a used one not really worth the savings. Both are around the $300 range. Aren't they illegal in Canada? Your brake lights and their radar detectors will give you away if you use it. To combat that I wired my 68 Galaxy's brake lights to an off/on switch so I could stop them from lighting up if necessary. Oh and most importantly, no way could I live without one. I am so used to it that I feel really naked when I don't have one. Get ready for that feeling once you start using one.

    spyware

See the cpu for recommendations, but remember that most require that you load into safe mode first and then run them. Or at least they will work much better then. As for Spyware if you surf carefully you don't need it so I don't have any, but Microsuck makes some or Spybot seems effective for free to.

    wire??

If you don't know just stuff it up in the dash where you won't see it. Or you could put in the diligence to trace it and figure out wtf it is.

So i just purchased my RLPs

3.3 may be big for a truck like yours but not for porting dual Rlp's. I assume you mean gross volume which should be near perfect for sealed and lots of SQ! Is it 3.3cuft gross or net?--actually either way you do not have enough volume for porting those subs
  23. Wow. This guy really cooks through the circuit: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/video_gallery...lap_record.html Also, I read for $215 you can pay a professional racer to drive you accross the circuit in a brand new bone stock 500hp M5. I think I might do that the next time I am in Germany! Especially after watching this. edit: fixed (I think--if you miss twice they make you log in)
