    2nd SWVA TeamSSAudio meet

Yep, we now know that we can have Jim do our wiring and Flakko make cut outs for our boxes. Tight!
  2. Or if you want to go nuts with all the options, get a Behringer 2496 and a 12v mod. It will do everything and is computer controlled but you will lose your in the dash control....

Man, we are getting nailed by snow and I don't have snow tires on the car yet; however, in a fit of non-control I bought a snowmobile last night. Not the latest or greatest, but still pretty good. 2000 Polaris XC 600 SP, should be fun in the snow!

    wOOt!!! Seas Lotus RW165 Mids

Nice review. Sounds like we should be jealous!
  7. Also, think I found a set of barley used (and local) Nokian Hakkapilita 2's. Supposed to be killer snows according to a couple rally sites. My only reservation on these is they are used, they are only 225/45/17 going onto an 8.5" rim and they were run on an M3 one season. Guess I will have to go and look at 'em.
  8. I am leaning towards these as they are local and seemingly reasonable. Hankook W300 $500 installed + tax Dunlop Graspic DS-2 $560 installed + tax

my first sub box soo far..

My exact feelings on the rotoslip They even sort of stink for cutting sheetrock, sure you get a circle but you eat more dust than you put anywhere else and it is painfully slow.

    :'(

If you want first box horrors. I, being extremely diligent, planned a perfect box with the slope of the rear deck to maximize space in one of my cars. I then setup the radial arm saw with a right angle to make sure everything was squared up. After making all the cuts I assembled the box, but my framing square was off by over 5 degrees which really, really left big gaps in the wrong places. It will get easier, you have to do it to learn!

  14. About 2 years ago I removed a system that was "blown" for a guy and put his headunit in his new car--loose wires the only problem. For payment he gave me his blown amp and two kicker subs. I sold the subs cheap to a buddy and kept the amp. Since my car is mostly done I thought I would put something in the truck. I was wondering if any of you had heard anything about the amp. All I found is a random post saying it is 40x4 + 80wx1 or 80wx3 (@4ohm). I would like to use it to power my fronts and my sub. I have not selected a sub to use yet. The appealing part of it is that it looks like it is truly class A. I didn't notice this until today when I started to look online to find info on it, but right on the front it says: Non NFB/Non Switching Class A Amp So if anyone knows if the power is right and if I can run it down to 1 ohm (might do a pair of 8's under the rear seat) that is mostly what I am looking for. It seems like this is an old SQ relic, but maybe just a POS that someone liked somewhere. Any thoughts? Here is a link to pics (not mine) http://members.shaw.ca/deepimage/
  15. Thanks, he replied here to my PM and was nice enough to go and look for an old brochure that he has which hopefully I will have soon. Thanks for the help guys.

Sounds nasty, sorry Jmac. Definetely sounds like a prescription is in order.
  18. Right on Mike! Can't wait to hear your impressions. I am thinking of doing something similar in the next year or so.
  19. Indeed, especially on the GM family cars. They are so damn soft to begin with

Can't compare and IS350 with a 325, maybe a *boring* IS 250. Now the M that you were drooling on is a fair comparison...

    Welcome to the IHoP

Won't be, its a Bm'er. Chevy, your gonna have fun getting a system into that thing it is a beyotch but fun car. Definetely an upgrade for a "Chrysler" guy. Crazy to go shopping for a car and buy one on the same day. Even when I know what I want it takes me a month or two to find the right deal. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

    hi there

    Welcome on board.
  23. DOH!!! Didn't see he was registered here! I thought he was only on CAF, posted on Halloween last here instead of '04.
  24. Will try, thought since he had a whopping 12 posts in a year he might not answer. If not, I guess I will hook it up and see
  25. Upside down Fosgate too! That way I can still reach the controls...
