  1. One good reason to use a greenlee punch. It can also sometimes be difficult to get a drill along with a bit to physically fit in a location to allow drilling.

Thanks! The chikadees aren't afraid of me at all. Makes them quite easy to shoot. I know this photo has a lot of white, but I really like the way the horse looks happy by frostedflakejake1, on Flickr
  3. Yes with that much power I couldn't strongly recommend that enough. Have you tried to see if you can fit 1/0 gauge in the wire runs of your car? I can easily fit 1/0 gauge with room to spare in mine. Wire runs are a much less hostile environment than the underside of the vehicle.

Sounds good to me right now. -7 here according to the weather man. Thank god it stopped being so windy. Windchill is only -29
  6. Hm. Still lower than I expected. I guess the difference could be composed of difference in internal resistances. Just for clarification, with the batteries hooked in parallel both will be feeding your amplifier.
  7. Good point. My previous statement is true for a lose less system which is of course impossible in the real world. However I still doubt losses are what's accounting for the voltage difference.
  8. This. The batteries are not truly connected in parallel, at least not when the vehicle is running. Batteries in parallel must satisfy Kirchhoff's voltage law which in this instance requires the two batteries to have the same voltage. I would first do as khinds94 suggested and check the in-line fuse (if you have one) between the secondary battery and whatever source it's connected to. If that's not it there is an issue with how the secondary battery is connected.

    Corner adds to port length?

Am I the only one that absolutely hates t-nuts? I try to purposely build my boxes in a top-firing configuration to avoid the use of tnuts

I had great success shooting them with film a few years back. You'll have to check back in during the summer!! I just got a great deal on a 7D body and a 40D body on ebay. I'm planning on keeping the 7D and selling my T3i and the 40D. Let me know if you want either!

I've been considering renting canon's 400mm lens to see if it's something I'd be interested in for birding. This is a cropped shot. I really don't like cropping on my T3i, but for once I thought it was more captivating cropped. editedblue2 by frostedflakejake1, on Flickr

Here's the MTU sailing team practicing. Photographing these guys was actually kinda difficult because the sail would cast a huge shadow on the sailors during the majority of their tacks. IMG_8334 by frostedflakejake1, on Flickr

Thanks man! Got another rally one, but from this year this time! I learned a lot from this shoot. I really tried to fill the frame with a car and some splatter but the cars were moving too fast. I didn't think I would have as much trouble as i did. Higgins-1 by frostedflakejake1, on Flickr

If you haven't seen him live before I strongly recommend it. He's a fantastic live performer. Both times I went I was disappointed with the rude crowd. People are assholes.

    Shogen's Photos...

Man I once forgot to turn the quality back to JPEG + RAW from my lowest setting after taking pictures for an ebay auction. Ruined a whole shoot. Honestly I shoot in JPEG + RAW but usually I don't work with the RAW. I spent a long time playing the the settings on my camera and I have them just how I like them. I don't have the patience to try to get the whitebalance and colors on the RAW to match my jpegs.
