okay. i just didnt know if they HAD to be be an authorized dealer to legally sell it. I didn't know if there was some sort of rule or law that could let you prosecute against unauthorized dealers. But i figured that if it was illegal, that you guys would like to know about it. One time I was following this guy and he did it at a stop sign and hit the person in front of him and pushed them into the intersection because he was doin the "fish". bro its illegal here in illinois as of january 1, 2008 i believe. i did it on my 17th bday when it was legal (nov 1, 2007), and remember it being on the news on new years that it is now illegal. so im sure if its illegal in illinois, its probably illegal in at least a few other states. but i do agree, that is one fuuuuckd up drug. we were smoking it in my buddy's car and he thought he was on a rollercoaster lmfao. i hallucinated a very odd image, combining circus lights and the attack "fire blast" from the gameboy game pokemon (strange i know). It only lasts between 10 to 30 mins though. and it tastes like ass.

well i think it has to do with the speakers your listening to on your computer, i can only hear up to 16k on the comp, but if im downstairs and someone shut the cable off without shutting the tv off, it drives me nuts because i can hear it. my family thinks im crazy, but i can hear that pucker everytime the cable is off. edit: for example, when im just listening to the speakers on my laptop, i cant hear past 15k, but when i put on these Phillips earbuds, i can hear the 16k just fine.

why dont you just go with 4 btls... you dont have to have 2k watts to push a btl, its just what the specs say what its capable of, even though it is known to take more than 2k. the btl's are more efficient, and are only like 150$ more than a BL i believe. so why not just do up 4 btls? and im sure 2 btls would be plenty loud also. i have an old style BL, its decent, but i wish i bought a btl. havent heard the new BL's though, but the specs say its more efficient than the old ones. anyways, btl ftw.

for my next setup i was thinking of doing an 18" btl out of a 2002 pontiac grand prix's trunk on a sundown 3500d. it seems thats what everyone likes to pair up with the btl. this is for a daily system. and the box would probably be like 6 cubes tuned to mid 30s. is this a solid setup? how much wattage do u guys think it will actually see after impedance rise? should i just get a 2000 watt rms amp or roll with the 3500 like i was planning on? and i know this is a difficult question to answer, but does anyone have any experience of any setups like this playing out of a trunk? obviously it all depends on the install and blah blah blah, but i was figuring id make somewhere around 145 db. does that sound about right? all comments and advice is appreciated. thanks.

okay so i live in the northern illinois region and i was driving south into rockford illinois to take my friend to visit her boyfriend, who is in jail. so as im driving us to the jail, a cop shows up behind me, so i kill my system. cherries go on, and i get pulled over. so cop comes up to my window and asks me if its me with the loud music and i lie, and tell him no. and he goes, "pop your trunk". so i tell him no, u have no probable cause. and then the cop says yes i do, i heard it coming from your direction. so thats when i roll into, "o, well low frequency sound is omnidirectional, so actually you cant tell which direction its coming from." so then he gets all pissed and shit cuz im correcting him or whatever, and he says, i used to compete, i know my shit, look u can either give me your keys or i can take them. so i figured id give him the keys. so he pops my trunk and sees all my shit and knows its me. guess what? turns out its pucking MANDATORY to impound any vehicle in the city of rockford that violates the sound ordinance!!!! i got my pucking car towed away, which i have to go get tomorrow, which costs 150 bucks, PLUS i have to go to court and pay a MINIMUM fine of 150 dollars. so thats my story, so what im asking now, is if anybody has taken something like this to court and actually won? can it be done? or should i just let it go and admit that i got beat by the cop? or should i take it to court and use the whole low frequency sound being omnidirectional thing and hope the judge says the cop was in the wrong? give me some input. i have no idea what to do... EDIT: i dont know if omnidirectional was the right word. i meant whatever the word is that means non directional.

im guessing this would be more suited to be in the competition section of the forum but i cant post in there for some reason. im guessing its because im new to the forum. anyways, theres an official usaci event going on at Tinker Toys in Beloit, Wisconsin THIS Sunday (august 23rd). Zac Davis owns the shop there. hes won the world finals back in like 2003 or something for pro stock or something i dont remember. but he said he was gonna hold some fun games there. he said he was gonna do something called speaker toss where u throw some shitty door speakers and whoever gets it closest to the target wins some free, new audio equipment. he was gonna do something too where u put on some big ass gloves and compete against someone else in who can mount a sub faster into an enclosure. he mentioned an arm wrestling contest too but i dont know if he was serious. but yeah the winners of those games will win some free stuff and were trying to promote it as much as we can so here i am advertising it. it should be a lot of fun so everyone should try and make it out here. sorry for posting in the wrong section. if anyone has any questions ill be glad to answer them. peace.

That's almost the MAXIMUM airspace for a 15", that would be why. it's more efficient. It really is stupid to put an 18" in 5 cubes, that's the bare minimum and the maximum airspace for a 15", in that alignment the 15" in the better box would outperform the same 18". Oh and FYI, don't look for a subwoofer, or a certain size cone, just because of it's sensitivity. It's one small parameter, not enough to rule out a subwoofer. honestly im not experienced enough to know how the other specs effect a subs performance. Im not super new to all this, but when i read all of the shit some of all u have to say about physics and all that other complicated stuff, id still consider myself a noob. What would u say isn't choking an 18? Too big to fit in a trunk of a grand prix? edit: I basically chose the BTL because im pretty satisfied with my BL that i currently have right now, and it seems like everyone loves the btl. And for the 6 months of time that ive put reading stuff on all of these audio forums, i really haven't heard a negative thing about the btl yet.

i want to keep things as light as possible. 2 12's would mean another whole motor. and btls weigh like what... 70 lbs? i was thinking a d3100 up front and one more in the trunk, along with the amp, box and sub. and i was thinking the 18 because 1 18 btl has an effieciency of 94.9 db and 2 btls would be 93.5 db (90.5 + 3). but idk you know this is still far away. i have 0 dollars and i owe like 500 dollars to the government and im unemployed and a system like this is gonna be expensive so its gonna be a while til it actually happens anyways. and by that time, the AA *** sub is gonna be out and i might end up getting that. but i really do think i could get an 18 in there. it would be a bitch. but i think it could be done.

idk man. i dont have the pontiac now, but i had one before, it was a '98, so its the same body style as the 02 im gonna get. that definitly has a bigger trunk than my 94 buick regal, and right now i have a box thats exactly 4 cubes after port, driver and mdf displacement. and the only issue was getting it into the trunk, not it fitting. i think i could get a box thats 6 cubes in there after all displacements. and yeah i was planning on tuning it low if i was gonna roll with the 3500 watts. probably not in the 20s, but somewhere between 30 and 33 hz.

bass is always omnidirectional. there is no exception to that. and yes, like normal people, there has been plenty of times that i hear a loud system, and look into a crowd of cars and have a difficult time telling which one it is. hmm... maybe im just weird? the only way u can tell where its coming from, is when the volume gradually increases as it gets closer, peaks in volume, and then gradually decreases as it gets farther away. other than that, bass has been and will always be dubbed omnidirectional. Bass is omnidirectional to a certain frequency which to every human is different. Personally I can EASILY localize 50hz so if you are playing your subs higher than that you are wrong. On top of that you did break the law by being an ass. NO ONE wants to hear your crap music so don't make them.
