  1. Ok so new speakers are on their way soon so I am willing to let these go for $350 shipped in original packaging from Fi. They are dual 12'' SSD's with cooling just as the image says and are just over six months old. Again feel free to PM me with any additional questions or concerns.
  2. I recently reconed my BTL UFO 12" with high xmax option. I used the spacers provided to space the basket .250" above the bump in the motor. I first knocked the dust cap off in a huge box I had made for my zcon. 3.1 cu ft. tuned to 32. Glued it back up and I did it again. I built a new box because I thought big box, over powering, exc. could have been the cause. Plus it didn't sound that great (anticipated) I have a box made.. 2.4 cu ft. tuned to 32. Knocked the dust cap off again today. I am using household goop to glue the dust cap. Should I go with CA? Possibility that the recone was not made to be spaced from the motor?
  3. Was thinking of inverting my BTL UFO 12" as the cutout diameter is the same size as the motor. Should I compensate box volume for this action? I may want to revert it normally in the future, but I have a show on the 17th that I will be attending and would like to show this beast motor off. Space is not an issue, as I am downsizing from my previous enclosure for my zcon. Is there an audible motor noise that comes with this? downsides?

    Box v1.0

    From the album: Audio

Right around 2.45~2.5ft^3 with a 12" Fi BL tuned to ~31hz. First time using sketchup and it turned out pretty well i think
  5. Got two 12'' Fi SSD's for sale that are literally less than six months old. They sound absolutely amazing in fact my ears were ringing after having listened to them for ten to fifteen minutes straight or so just the other day. They come with stock copper coils (meant for daily musical play) and cooling option for an additional 2-500 watts or so of increased power handling (giving each speaker an average of 1200-1500 watts RMS power handling for a total combined amount of 2400-3000 watts power handling) depending upon the install. The price for the pair is $450 shipped to your door in all of Fi's original packaging. Shipping alone runs right around $80 for the pair even if new from Fi so the price per speaker outside of shipping cost is actually about $185. These things look and sound practically brand new. The ONLY reason I am selling them is because i ended up getting a much larger than anticipated alternator installed and would like to take advantage of its abilities with larger more powerful speakers soon. It may be sort of hard to see my SSA username at the top of my sales sheet in the pictures below due to the lighting when they were taken but if you tilt your computer screen back and away from you I find that it is much easier to see that way. Please feel free to PM me with any additional questions or concerns:)

    Happy to join the forum!

Whats up guys? Found out about this forum through the Fi website, and its by far some of the most useful info on car audio on the net! I just recently received my BLs the other day and im really excited to get them hooked up to say the least lol. My old subs were CVXs so im sure these will be a bit louder but gotta upgrade the rest of the system before I load them. Anyway glad to join guys!

    BTL UFO single slug spacer

Finally got my hands back on some straight street jam material. AKA: Qs and a BTL UFO I've seen some UFO BTLs have a spacer in between basket and the motor. Is this just an adapter for basket patterns or is it a beneficial option to the sub? Excited for my new Fi experience and so is the wife =]

    BTL N2 ~ UFO Gaps

I think I saw someone say that the gaps are the same in both these drivers. Reason why I'm asking is this guy has a recone for an N2 selling it at a decent price and I have a UFO motor coming my way. You think I'll run into any issues?
  11. I have heard that the cooling option does slighter alters the speakers specs but would the difference down low be negligible in a ported enclosure?
  12. Item: Fi Sp4 motor and 15" Ti basket I got this in a trade for an Fi BL, but I won't be able to fit a 15" in my car unless I build a sealed trunk wall. As fun as it sounded, it wouldn't get under way until spring time so I'm selling to get an alternator. Basket will be included in auction and still has terminals on it. Conditon: 9/10 Glue joints are clean; no chips or gashes out of the motor. Back plate was few scratches and over all is in good condition. Price: 250+ shipping to US 50 only please; entertain me with trade offers, but cash is king. Shipping: Item will be properly packed and insured using UPS as carrier. Pictures:

It's Time For a New Sub

Im looking to upgrade my current set up. Ive narrowed down my choices to ether a DC level 3 15, FI SSD 15 with cooling and flatwind coil (which ive heard are comparable to a level 4), and an Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 15. Ive seen a lot of bs saying that the DC subs dont have good quality soft parts and am looking for some people that have ran these subs before that might be able to give me some insight to help my decision. Basically im looking for the best sub on the lows that can take a daily beating. I have a 3.3 cubic ft box tuned to 34hz in my BMW 330ci and will be pushing around 1100rms daily from my audiopipe 1500d but will be upgrading the amp in the future. I mostly listen to rap music and occationly house.

    Cruze with a Fi Sp4 15.

Here is my Cruze playing Downtown, with my trunk going crazy.
  15. Wondering which would get lower and deeper (not necessarily louder) on a daily basis. I listen to strictly Decaf and chopped & screwed music in the high 20Hz range and low 30's
  16. Looking for another Re XXX v3 motor. Year is 04 and 05. Its the motor with the large chrome top plate. Let me know if you have a motor or woofer and a price. Looking to run 2 of these as 10s
  17. I seem to have a lot more voltage drop to rear fuse to amp when the seats are up, rather than down. This is a trunk car. Is lack of air flow making the sub work harder? I have the rear 6x9 vacant..

Single 12" ZCON on 3k; Flex issues

  19. I have been having trouble trying to understand on how to make a box design, so I was just going to see if anyone here could help me. I know that when some one asks this question they tend to leave out important information when needing help so I'm going to give you all the info I can, and please tell me if I am missing anything. Trunk dimentions(MAX): 17" Tall, 35" Wide, and 20" Depth Subwoofer: Fi Sp4 15" Loaded D2 ohm sub wired to 1 ohm Amp: Audioque2200D Wire: All Sky High Car Audio Cable Alt: Stock 180 amp Batteries: Xs Power D4700 hood & future Xs D1200 trunk It'll go in the trunk of a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. I've tried using Torres Box calc and google sketch up and so far I've had no luck. So any info, input, or any help in general would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys!
  20. Hey everyone, i'll get straight to the point. I'm selling my Fi BL 18" Sub in a 29hz box 40" long 17" high 24" deep (not 100% positive on this I will have to double check) along with my Hifonics Brutus brz2400.1D amp. It's a dvc-2 ohm sub. I bought this sub around late January. I've had it installed in my car for only 2-3 weeks. It was an impulse buy and if I didn't desperately need the cash I would keep it without a doubt. The amp and all the wiring was bought around the same time as the sub from sonicelectronix and I paid for a 3-year warranty. The power and ground cables are 1/0awg knukonceptz and the rca cables, remote wire, and speaker wire are part of a kit I got awhile pack from elite audio. I have 2 inline fuse holders with a 300a fuse and a 150a fuse. A couple ring terminals as well. The dust cap is blue and I have the cooling and flat wind options and the daily option selected. $433 with shipping, ~$100 for the wires, $300 for the amp with the warranty and I paid $200 for the box which has fiberglass insulation. I have the original box Fi sent the sub in and the amp. I don't know how much it would cost to ship a box that big, so without the box I would sell it all as a package for $650. quickest way to contact me to discuss anything would be texting me @ 574-323-3166. Thank you.
  21. Hey guys, I am officially starting another build. Rather than post only pictures I am going to take you guys along for the ride with video updates! Enjoy! Phase 1 is making my amplifier rack. Starting with making some insert pieces to hide the amps.

    Fi Sp4 15" on 3k. enclosure?

So I'll be running my SSA Zcon 12" on 3k for now until I get around to purchasing a recone for an sp4 motor I got in a trade. My problem is..I have a trunk car and limitations on box sizes. Depth and height are a problem for me. I have come to the conclusion that the biggest I can fit is an L port enclosure about 3.9-4 cubes. If I give it about 4 inches of port and still have net, will this enclosure server well to the sp4? I'll be running 3k @ the sp4. If not recommend what you all have experimented with.
  23. I have been ripped off, sold short, and stolen from in this hobby plenty of times. I have never ripped anyone off, ripped equipment off of anybody, or lied about any piece of equipment I have sold. Karma came back around again today in my favor, as I received a BNIB Fi BL 15" from an ebay purchase. Cost me 250$ shipped. =] Keep it real when it comes to selling your stuff and it will come back around! It has for me! =]
  24. My pre-09 SSD motors have "custom sealed" written on the top of the motor. Does this mean they have the high qts option? They are also copper coils. Any input?
  25. I ordered an SSD recone yesterday and there is no option for integrated leads on the site. I added in the special instructions that I want them. Can you please include integrated leads and charge me for them?
