    Honda Civic Coupe 08 2x2k???

Hello and welcome to my daily headaches! I'll start this build log off with my past setup, my current, and finally update throughout December as I work on probably the furthest this little Civic will let me go. My instagram: https://www.instagram.com/joshdashef1/ The Past Build: Head unit: Pioneer 80 PRS Mono Amp: Rockford Fosgate Prime 750.1 Subwoofers: Rockford Fosgate P3D4 12" (two) Kicker 4 gauge amp kit OFC Stock Electrical (alternator included) Did do the big three sometime between here and current build Prefab Box: Q-Power Box (Dual 12s) Tips: Tesa taping RCA's, Marking RCA's Low/Mid/High or similar, Big Three with loom. Wire was Sky High 1/0 OFC with some 1/2" loom I believe. Old military style terminals (DO NOT USE THESE) they cracked my battery eventually.

  3. So I'm been on the web looking at different types of 5k amps that are linkable amps, so I can upgrade my current amp set up...I'm looking for a amp out of these new or used- dd m4a, sundown audio 4500, crescendo bc5500, dc audio 5k, ampere audio 5000.1. It has to be able to do around 3800-4000 wire down to 1.3ohms. Running 3-18s DSS ethos box is in the works.... Electrical is dual alts stock will run the truck, mid, and highs the singer 270amp will run only for the battery bank. 4 juice box blackcherry battery back, two runs of 1/0 wielding wire. ( would like more batts if space would allow) ( playing music daily and burbs on comps) I'm not looking for a father and son conversation here just wanting to know which amp would be better suited for my set up that's all thanks for reading.
  4. So the time has come to purchase a new subwoofer. I have been using a Rockford P3 for the last couple months and loved it but decided it was about time to move up in the world of the bassheads. I have a really hard time deciding on the simplest of things and thats why im posting here to try and get help on deciding. i by no means mean this to be a "VS" thread. just need a push in the "right" direction. so the 3 subs im tryin to decide on are: -Ascendant Audio Mayhem 15 -Fi Audio SP4 15 -DC Audio level 4 15 ill be running it on one of the Hifonics mt. olympus series amps (the one that best fits the particular subs RMS rating, of course) the sub will be put in a custom made 4 cubic feet of airspace ported box tuned to 32hz in an extended cab truck any and all advice will be appreciated. thanks!

    Passat XCON

This might be a semi slow build, I have most of the equipment, but I do need a few other things to complete it all. I traded my truck in on a 2012 VW Passat about 6 months ago and I've had a stock stereo since. This will be my first time building a ported box, fis\rst experience with a processor (360.3) and my first experience with a 15" sub (SSA X-CON). The X-CON is Dual 1 ohm, so it should be good on the DC 5.0K at 2 ohms (2300 watts nominal). I am keeping the stock head unit, but adding a Rockford Fosgate 360.3 to control everything. The door speakers will be RF T1675's for now powered by a Kicker 350.4. Knuconceptz wire, XS batteries, Dakota Digital volt meter, Second Skin are being used as well.
  6. Here is my 2000 camaro SS i bought a few weeks ago. not wasting any time making it better! Car has a ton of bolt on performance goodies as well as suspension goodies. T-tops 6-speed. Im sure gearheads worldwide are going to hate me for this but **** em! Its my car and i bought it to do exactly this. Im not going to lead on too much about all the equipment im using for this build. All im really going to say is the ZCONS are on the way!!!! Its going to be hell fitting 18+cubes, batteries, and amps but im up to the challenge. Here is a few teaser shots untill real progress is made. My buddie Chris helping me out before the last USAC show. getting it all cleaned out!! On with the box build. Im shooting for 18 cubes. Thats all i got for today. hope to make more progress this weekend
  7. This is a build I am doing for a buddy of mine. The build consists of: 2 DC Level 4 12s 1 Crescendo BC2000D Knu Konceptz wiring for everything 2 XS D1200 batteries Kenwood eXcelon DNX9990HD Stay tuned for more... And feel free to comment

    Possible Hairtrick?

I have a DC XL m1 18 that i am wanting to put in my truck (02 Silverado 1500HD). I am thinking about taking the 60 part of my 60/40 back seat and making a box above my amp rack. I am wanting to tune to 30 hz or lower and would like to possibly do a hairtrick. Is it possible to do in my truck with a single 18? Here is what I have right now: 1 DC XL m1 18 D2 1 Crescendo BC2000D 1 Mechman 270 amp alternator 1 Stinger SPP1500D battery under the hood All 1/0 for big 3 and running to amp This is a box I come up with Would I need more port? Should I change anything else? And where should I place the port? the sub will either be facing up or forward. Should the port face forward, up, or in some other direction?
