Hey everyone, this post/question is mainly directed toward the big guy. I am wondering which SSA sub you would recommend to me given these limits/stipulations: 2014 Honda Civic Sedan 1500 Watts on tap (Crescendo Symphony 1500) LIMITED SPACE... I am only looking to build and install an enclosure no larger than 1.5 net cubic feet. That being said, I have been considering either a 12" ICON sealed. A 12" XCON sealed (XCON being the most I can afford). Or, one of those two in the 10" variety, ported. This is for a daily driver, and I will need as much trunk space I can get, but still get loud and sound good. What is your input? Anyone else, feel free to chime in.
Hosie Carmona posted a topic in Subwoofers / SpeakersI'm putting together a budget system in a Ford F-150 I have a custom box with .69 cu feet sealed available for 2 10" subs. There is a lot of options I've been narrowing it down so far I'm leaning towards the Sundown Audio SD 10 Dual 4. I am going to be running a Class AB Mono channel amp rated at 1400 Watts RMS into 1 ohm load. There restrictions 6 Inch mounting depth 300 dollar budget looking for Dual 4 ohm subs or single 2 ohm subs (Want as much bass as possible from a 2 10" subwoofer sealed enclosure) Thanks for any help with picking the right pair of tens!
My current setup is in a 2000, mustang convertible. Very little room. I am using 2 seperate boxes at about 1 cube sealed. I have a kicker 750.1 amp, powering two 10 inch CVRs. My question is, what can I drop in that will sound better? Of course the cvrs are loud, but after I tuned them there just not where I would like. I am looking for a cheap replacement. I may be able to sell the cvrs to some friends to help with cost. I'm looking at the Sundown E-10, so Skar IVX 10 Would an upgrade be worth if it, if so, what subs should I get? In short: 750-800rms, 1 cube sealed (each), daily use. What to get?
Well my initial build at the moment is relatively complete, but of course I have future plans. Therefore Ill just post some pictures and you can comment and ask questions about the build if you wish. Ill add more pictures when I get back home, next week. Im thinking of doing fiberglass doors with an 8" mid, 6.5" mid, and a supertweet. Then add two more dcons, maybe ported maybe sealed, not sure.. If that doesnt do it for me, Im thinking SSA Icon 18s.
