eD 13Av.2 Subwoofer

Recommended Posts

You are 100% correct in stating that there are posts I make on SSA and then there's what I do on AudioJunkies. I'm not required to hold any standard here or anywhere else except for AudioJunkies. Thanks, though.

Someone from eD coming to tell me to avoid posting misinformation is comical at its best.

I cited my source; go find the post I referred to and ask them.

Of course, by having Writer/Contributor in your sig, you are representing them in a way in every post you make.

Also, you didn't cite a source, you said there was another post on another board. A citation would have included a link to said post. Odd thing is that I DID indeed go through every single post on AVSForum mentioning 13Av.2 13Av 13A 13Av2

Please point out which of these posts says I was charged when I ordered it:

Now, if you could do me a favor and actually link to the post in question, that would be awesome. Since I've just linked to every single public post on AVSForum dealing with the speaker and not a single one says I was charged for something, I have to question your motives.

Sorry I had to post here again, but being called a liar isn't something I take kindly to. Especially when there is absolutely no proof.

Don't apologize for posting again, unlike some other forums we don't ban people for disagreeing with the norm here in fact real discussion is encouraged. Stick around, although you have one heck of a hole to climb out of.

Why would he? He made is point pretty clearly and i dont see any "hole" he dug. He never flamed anyone, he's just defending his product from(more) misinformation.

Man you have a short memory, it is a historical hole not one from this thread. Perhaps you should relax your brand boner for just one microsecond and breath a bit.

How is it his "historical hole"? Chris didnt even work for ED at the time when Ben was doing his so called "bad business" practices or whatever. He simply came here to defend some more bogus info on pre orders for the 13av.2. Also i have no brand boner, i run and support lots of different gear. Maybe you should relax and stop being so quick to bash or jump down someone's throat.

Re-read your posts, you have a eD boner and not only that some blinders that go with it. As for the hole, eD has a HUGE hole with nearly all the members on this site. This was Chris's opportunity to try and improve that, but you surely aren't helping being all aggressive.

There is a guy near buy that bought one and has no power for it. So I might test it, but going into this I already have a less then positive POV.

Better watch yourself Aaron, you may even end up being "converted" if you go through with reviewing the unit.

I noticed the "Eu technology" has been removed from their description page. Unfortunately, it doesn't make the rest of the information they provide any easier to decipher.

Just how old was the person who wrote that stuff anyway?

...And to set the record straight, my last post was not a shot either. If anything, it is a suggestion for those who maintain their site to reread what is posted and clean it up a bit. I think it would help them in the long run.

I do have to apologize...it wasn't the 13av.2 that they had pre-ordered and required a refund on...it was the upcoming EQ.

I talked to them last friday and they said somethime in March... I got a refund.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread....97#post12971497

So they still pre-ordered and paid. You mentioned that you can't help it if someone chooses to use paypal and sends their money immediately; how is this done? I assume that after they add to cart and checkout, they are prompted to choose a method of payment. If they enter their credit card info, you would charge it later...if they choose paypal, it sends them to paypal to make a payment, right? That would still be taking their money on a pre-order...but maybe I have your procedure incorrect.

I took AudioJunkies out of my signature because it's easier for me that way. So cram it. :)

Im not being aggressive at all. Im just supporting a product that has been good to me, what is wrong with that? I do the same for any other product i run. Im sorry i dont fall into the majority of the "members" of this site so give me a break. You want me to hate on a product and company that hasnt given me a reason to yet, im sorry im just not going to follow that ridiculous notion.

BTW i dont think Chris has anything to prove to anyone, get real.

Ok, I know exactly who you're talking about and it was a Paypal payment.

The way Paypal functions is the customer is at the payment page, they choose Paypal. Our site redirects them to Paypals site at which time they choose how they'd like Paypal to send us funds. After they send the funds through Paypal, they're redirected back to our site, Paypal tells our site we've been paid and the order is processed.

Unfortunately for us, Paypal doesn't really have a "paid when shipped" option. This is exactly how Amazon.com now works for third party merchants. You don't get paid until they get a tracking #. Works fantastically, no one pays for an item before it's shipped.

The really odd things is now that Paypal owns Verisign. With Verisign there is an authorization that you can then draw funds on. I can see why this wouldn't work to well with Paypal but you'd think it would be a system that they could implement, especially since they own a company now that does exactly that. It would be a bit different seeing as how you can link a Paypal account to numerous bank accounts/credit cards, but that's why people like Paypal, you give one company all your personal banking information and let them take money from you and send it to someone else.

Please read the posts before responding. I didn't ask Chris to prove anything about himself, as expected I am sure all of us here have a better feeling for him than anything or anyone eD related in the past as he is actually trying to communicate. The hole in discussions is eD's and he has an opportunity to do something about it.

And going after prominent members on a forum for having a dislike of a particular company is aggressive, in particular when there are very logical reasons why this is the case. Also, no one here has ever asked YOU to hate on an eD product. Not even close, you can choose to like what you like when or wherever you like. We haven't asked you to change, but if you post love stories about their gear here expect to get a response that is appropriate from people who have been burned by products sold by eD in the past.

Paypal subscriptions? I think Vectoral (the hosting company) uses them for their site. You could create a subscription to withdraw the given amount on a specific date without a reoccurrence. With theirs, they specify a duration for the subscription that is equal to the length of your agreement with them. In your case, the agreement would be once.

Maybe something to think about if it's workable for you.

I didn't even know they offered something like that. Definitely something I'll have to look into when it's a bit less chaotic here.

Every single person who has said any beef about eD in a thread in the past weeks that you have seen you have gone after. Sounds both like a boner as well as aggressive to me.

This was a discussion about the 13Av.2 sub. As much as some people dislike the company.. stay on topic and discuss the sub.
