kent beat on his and it held fine, Orion will not say that it is .5 ohm stable due to warrenty issues, but many people who are smart with it run it at that load,

just be prepared for a serious current draw, I mean don't be suprised if the car shuts off when the bass hits :faintthud:

j/k its not that bad, but to make huge power it needs huge current :D

yep, i ran my orion 2500d at .5ohm for quite awhile and it still lives..lol...it's currently pushing my wife's rl-p in her TB at the moment, though it's now seeing a much appreciated 4 ohm load.

actually, measured power was around 2800wrms at .5ohm with 14 volts. so it's wasn't a huge gain, but box impedence will have alot to do with that...at burp frequency the orion was "only" seeing 2ohm, thus i got a 144.4 with 1700wrms.

in the end, it can be done, the orion will hold. but IME, the potential risk wasn't worth the power "gained".

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

I would love a pair of ID8v3's, but would rather save up a few more $$ for RL-i8's

Its old school man...old school

That ID8 looks pretty beefy

Not quite so beefy looking if you remove the magnet boot, but still a very impressive 8". Completely unused too.
