I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

edit: wonder what the RF crew will think of them when they see the pictures and results.

last time I looked RF did not make an SQ woofer....

but I still have the RF product line and I still have an open invitation to RTTI

(Rockford Technical Training Institute)

I was modeling the 10" Icon on Termpak last night....WOW do these things like

the low stuff

That would be considered a T-Line correct?

it is a re hash of a night club woofer cabinet design I used to make back in the day

I would call it some what of a compression Horn....

the enclosure design works well in a car :drink40:

the down side is that a Horn takes up ALOT of space

these 10" Icons really slam out the low stuff..they are also really tight

very stiff subs....I'll need a couple of weeks to break them in but so far

so good

wow~! Sick box. Cant wait to see what you think of these.

they are a very good sounding woofer..they handle TONS of power

I'm running over 1200w rms per sub and no fatigue from getting to hot

..theystill sound clean and tight even after a good hour + of full tilt

I'm digging the low end detail of these subs..very nice

I think they have a little more output than my JBL W10gti subs

and they definately move more air

i designed an enclosure like that for an 8 but the sub was firing at what would be your back wall so deeper in the port. i figuired it to be like a ported enclosure firing toward the liscence plate in a trunk car.the back had more room in it than the port itself and worked around intoa horn like yours. id love to know how that box works and what it is tuned to. i was going to try it in an spl setup.

I built this one 2.0cf3 and 35hz tuning

and I'll be building another Identical enclosure tuned at 30hz next

.... will most likely have a small stock pile of 10" Icon enclosures to sell cheep as is

during my experimentation in finding the capabilities of these subs

sounds real crisp on the higher notes not sure about lows camera distorts to much but its probably loud. do you have a meter or know someone who can check it love to know 25 30 35 40 45hz readings to see how its response is in that design

there is not much SQ with a Sony Cyber-shot..the mics on them are junk

here is another vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO6ZP0Wr9es

I had the Termlab on it this morning...it hit 126db at 10hz and climbed up to

141db at 32hz..... this was with a flat eq setting with the mic 12" from the

passenger pillar and 3" off the dash....not bad at all from a trunk car

with some more break in time the batteries fully charged and some adjustments

I can squeek a bit more out....I'll re mic it in a week or so
