Duran - "It is a sexy woofa...very sexy. I'm tempted to lean it over and give that pole vent what it wants!"

but the metal caught me between the legs and tore open my sack. I'm not kidding about this at all, it actually tore a small hole in my ballsack.

that is just retarded....

I think that if I swung the back side of an axe as hard as I could
to an enclosure it probably wouldn't do that much damage...

that thing was hit HARD

FEDEX has done that to me before... Ordered a woofer that was shipped out in a wooden crate/cardboard.. received the woofer in a tripple layered cardboard box filled with packing peanuts, no invoice, the label was cut off the other box and re-taped onto the new box.... the woofer had the magnet broke clean off the basket.... it was a B!@#$ to get taken care of... took like 45 days to get my money back.... All shipping companies have similiar issues...
I could go on all day about shipping issues... 1 in 5 things I receive is damaged by the shipping company (and I get shipped ALOT of stuff)

Figured no one would mind if I bumped this old thread. Had a question about it from someone and wanted to chime in..
This isnt a horn. It is really just a 'tapped' version of a vented enclosure. Doesnt really have any advantages other than drivers/port radiating from the same area.

Placing the drivers further into the mouth normally creates a peak or ripple in the response which wouldnt be favorable.

Lastly, the enclosure can not be modeled by most programs. You would have to use hornresp or Akabak to model such an enclosure - Nothing like WinIsd, BBP, Termpak..etc. It can be modeled like a tapped horn with a large throat chamber, but again is not a real horn by any means.
Not to say it could not be a useful design at some point, but it would be based on physical makeup - not performance characteristics of the enclosure its self. Definitely unique though and looks cool none the less :)

Edit - Ah, didnt realize I was posting this directly in a vendor's forum.. If you find this offensive in any way feel free to let me know or report the post. I dont get on here at all, simply figured Id share the knowledge.

Any possible way to get the design for this? I'd like to try it with my Icons sometime.
