(6) Mayhem 15's and (6) 40.1's

Recommended Posts

No pics yet, but just thought I would start a thread ;)

Bought a 1992 Astro and will start a new build soon.

Ripped everything out of the suburban yesterday (13 hours of fun). . .picking up my new silverado crew cab today :D The suburban has made 8 yrs so I am finally going to get something new.

Right now, the plan is (6) Mayhem 15's and (6) 40.1's. I am lucky I managed to get two more 40.1's over the past couple of weeks.

Going to squeeze all the mids and tweets I can get in the doors and where ever else I can find.

Pictures will follow soon. . .

Brian

Man been sick for a week or so.

Finally took pics of the van. Need to go pick up the "new" passenger side door.

Ripped the headliner out to start building a new one out of fiberglass.

Air springs came in for the rear. Got (5) more batteries last week. Two more mayhems shipped Thursaday.

If all goes to plan, starting the wall on Tuesday.

As it sits, it is 28.4 ft^3 NET airspace after port and driver displacement. Going to fill the corners to bring it down around 24 ft^3 tuned to 34 Hz with 386 sqin of port area.

Are you going to be fixing up the van itself, exterior wize?

Looks like it'll be hella loud.

I will fix up the exterior this winter. It is actually pretty clean - just needs a new passenger door ($70) and a paint job.

Right now I am just trying to get the rear bags on, electrical system done, subs and amps in. Would like to compete at least once this year just to see what it can do. . .

Got amps, tweeters and mids. . . Love the look of the Morel MDT-12's. Never heard them, but am guessing they are going to sound just fine :D
