Putting something in the VW

Recommended Posts

* 2006 VW GTI 2.0T

* Factory HU

* Rockford 3sixty.2

* 2x SAZ-1500Ds

* 1x Custom Nightshade 12"

* Ported box

* Factory battery + Powermaster D3100

I'll get some pics up later... been working on it a few days getting all the wires in (PITA in this car).

Hopefully it'll do a decent number :) First attempt at any setup in here so I don't know what it's going to do.

We have not put any work into "finishing" - just trying to get it playing and meter it, maybe take it to a few shows :)

I know... amp mounted to the box, not good! But, as you can see with this box there is NO room back there *laughs*

Double walled box, tuned to 35 Hz (will cut port down based on peak).

Seems pretty loud in initial testing so far :)

Will try to get the meter on it some time today if possible.

What is this cooling option that you speak of?? Is it something with the soft parts or is it extra machining on the motor?

Yah - longer coil, cooling option, extra spider, tons of glue.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

I can add it to your motor during a re-cone - not attached to the soft parts.

PS: You have re-cones on the way today for Derek.

That means mine have all the options that you offer thus far... :drink40: Should be pretty beefy.

Yep - yours have the toughest spider pack I've made to date, longer coils, and cooling option.

Your baskets are in - just need to get them all put together and whatnot for shipping.

141.5 with stock Nightshade D2 w/ amps strapped @ 4 ohms.

Other score strapped @ 1 ohm on LC Nightshade D2 - using XXL coil which may be TOO long :) It is longer than our regular long coil, as an experiment.

We will mess around more later.
