I am also going to be getting the mirror myself as well. Just figured it would be easier for you to cut there with the wood if at all possible. On another note, I may not be on for a while as I'm feeling quite ill today, so if you don't hear back from me, pray that I'm dead. Cuz that's how I feel.

I'm ordering the mirror next week. All I will need is for you to cut it so I can glue it to the interior of the enclosure once it is constructed, unless of course you want to put the whole thing together. It may be easier to ship that way.

Whatever is easiest for you. I figured it may be easier to just assemble it so you actually have a shipping "box." Unless you have an ingenious way to ship them in pieces. I am talking to a company now about the mirror. If you feel up to it, I will order it and have it shipped to your place.

Wood glue please. It makes for a better chemical bond. As far as fasteners, I don't care. I assume the brads would be easiest, so if that's what you feel, go that route. The glue is the security, not the fastener. I think I have a payment in mind that you will find adequate. ;)

Thanks Kent!

inside dimensions are as follows..

back....11.5" x 30"

top & bottom.....13" x 30"

sides....11.5" x 13"

outside dimensions are, without ur 1" acrylic baffle are

13.5"t x 32" w x 14" d.....so when u add ur baffle it'll be 15" d

Hey, would it be too much trouble to take those pieces and cut a little off the depth? A external depth of 12" would actually work better with my power requirements. If it's not too much trouble, I'd rather have this than the 15" If it's a hassle, don't bother. Thanks, and sorry!

not a problem..it's only 4 outa the 5 pieces that have to be cut... :faintthud:

but honestly...no biggie.....but just to clarify..

u want 3" taken off the depth, so that with ur baffle, the depth is 12"..correct?

ryan..

before i cut this down (sorry, i got busy), are u sure u want to go smaller? i mean, running less power, the sub would benefit from the larger enclosure..ie: better low end response, more effiency allowing for xmax with less power, meaning it'll be louder.

let me know either way, i'm currently not busy, so i'll be able to get it cut down and assembled.

any news on the acrylic?

any other news? u fall down any lately?

lol..sorry.....

Yes go smaller. I didn't want to go too big, and once I recalculated, the 12" will get me just under 2 cubes once the acrylic is installed. It won't get played loud anyways, but I'm just being on the cautious side. THe 15" depth was more around 2.3-4 cubes so it was a little larger. I kept thinking 15" driver. Duh!

As for the acrylic, I'm sorry, I've dropped the ball on that one. I can't seem to have a day where I don't have a massive headache, so I've kinda just been lying around a lot. I'll get on that tonight and let you know what is up with shipping. Thanks again!

And, oh, I'm in NO hurry, so don't go out of your way here. I am just now actually getting the driver in. Got it all disassembled and the basket is currently getting media blasted. It'll be a while until the actual driver itself will eb operational.

i can't wait to see the finished product myself..

i know this much..

i've never cut a box this precise...it won't need any sealer, that's how tight the joints are!

when i get it assembled, i'll lay a straight edge across the edges and take a pic..
