SQ Review by "nismos14" on DIYMA:

Initially I was very impressed with the tonality and the output. It played various notes with authority. It's meant to be crossed (at least in my application) at 80 hz, anything higher and I recieved a lil breakup in the output. I am reallllly enjoying these subs with all kinds of music, rock/rap/country. They are doing a great job!

SQ: 8

Power handling: 9

LFE: 10

Output: 9

Build Quality: 10

Total: 46

These are just preliminary numbers, I will post more when I am done with a few weeks of listening time. They are DEFINATELY a competitor to the CMASS in overall sound and output! I am VERY impressed, especially at this price point.

Dang those look sexy. Are they 1.5" or 2" coil?

I don't know of a better 8" under $100 bucks.

Sweet. I'm guessing they'll handle more around 400rms...... :neil:

Thermally they will handle alot - but they just don't need it. You can get them moving 1" p-p with the rated power in most enclosures.

Nice. I can't believe how much I like the high roll surround.

I foresee these selling like hotcakes.

The high roll surround really is dead sexy :)

After the preorders are done will they still be the same price?

Are they single 4 ohm?

No - they will be more expensive after the pre-sale. This is the last chance to get them at this price.

And yes, they are all single 4 ohm.

Awesome looking 8" moofaz!

Where can I find ts parameters for this thing? frequency range and rms power handling would be enough though. I wanna know how well this would work as a midbass driver in my front doors. Will it do well in a free air environment?

Full T/S specs are listed above - including the 200 RMS rating.

They will play up to ~200 Hz or so clean - so they will work as a midbass. We have two installed in a Bronco here for midbass and they do GREAT IB for that job :)

How would 6 of these sealed in a regular cab S10 do on a 1500d??? I've had a DD 3510d ported and most recently a pair of DD 1508's ported also. Sorry Jacob, I'm kinda thinking out loud.

My Dad has two in a regular cab Chevy 1500 (ported) behind the seats and he does 137.2 dB with the windows down (131 windows up) - in a very good sounding setup :)

Jason,

Shipping is an additional $35 per pair to your zip.

So add $70 to the price for four subs and thats it.
