Thumppers Ford Windstar Ground Pounder

Something I have wanted to do for a while now.....a Quad 15" Ground Pounder

here is the equiptment list

1 1998 Ford Windstar ...white body with all dark tinted windows,grey interior

with the 240hp V6...only 127,000 k on the drive train..very good shape

1 Premier 980BT head unit

2 pairs JBL 660gti components

2 JBL GTO 75.4ll amps for the components ( 290w rms x 4 )

4 SSA Xcon 15" subs

1 JBL/Crown A3000gti amp for the subs ( rated at 3200w rms...YA OK WHAT EVER ...LOL )

all wiring will be Tsunami

plus a bunch of other crap

I'll work on it and add pics as I go.....

Wait a second, a Ford van with a Honda engine? Are your plans for a full wall or something that will compete in Street class levels?

these things come with the Honda engine....ford is getting lazy

I'll be all below the window line...."superstreet 3-4 no wall"

there great engines make the van quick had one cruise control at 115 still had more in it. the only problem is i think the enging has too much power for the trans ive heard a lot of people have gone through them. 3 in 120k not very good trans. hope you have better luck

I won't be drag racing or driving the crap out of it...

it should be fine if the tranny oil is kept clean and cool

I know what you are capable of and can't imagaine you build any thing that does not look good.

Back in 98 we did an Areostar with 16 Kenwood 12s and Radio Shack power. Just though you would get a kick out of the.

Both yours and Mark's build are makin me jealous.
