I like those baffles. I can't get over how perfect all of your boxes come out! :P

Looks real good. How long does it normally take you to build an enclosure this size? Is there a reason the sides are reseced so much?

hey thumper, are you the same thumper from SD?

i reconized one of your other builds from over there. and this one too.

anyways i got a question for the king. how much of a difference does the chamfered corners make? is that jsut for looks, or does it increase the flow to where it'll help in a box i would build?

It helps to deflect soundwaves...No 90degree angles..

On the port it helps deflect the air more smoothly into the port.

Inside the port it keeps the throat the same dimensions when

the port changes angles.

It's very worth it to do.

It also helps to brace the seems of the enclosure.

is there a science to it, or can you kinda just throw some in there?

Simple physics really....

Energy is lost if anything has to bank at a 90 angle

Less energy is lost if the banking is split into smaller angles to achieve the 90.

Ideal would be a smooth radius 90.

is there a way to calculate for the corner pieces when figuring out the box dimensions and total volume?

Just a regular volume calculation.

If you wanted to figure each individually,

(L x H x W / 1728) / 2

Is how you figure volume of a triangle.

It basically volume of a rectangle cut in half.
