don't do the Kicker rca's you will have engine noise down the road

I've used them in numerous installs and never had any noise issue. In fact, I've used the cheapest RCAs known to man and never had a noise issue.

Same here. I don't buy into high end cable bullchit. A twisted pair sheilding is usually good enough to block out any unwanted noise. I'd be more worried about bad grounds or connections.

And anyone in car audio that says differently is an idiot.

sounds like we have a big fan of monster cable

How so? The aforementioned statements are testament to the lunacy that is Monster.

Exactly. cable = cable, copper = copper, LCR is all that can change and is easily measured and if can't be measured it surely can't be heard.

4. 10" woofers

5. Amp

I felt this would be my best option especially for subs and amp because the box I want to use, has .6 cubic feet and those subs in a sealed box at minimum is .5-.8 I felt it was a great fit, and I figured I was going to get Alpine Components and Amp, so finish it off with an Alpine amp for my subs!

Ouch, that will cost you $1500?

You need to start over, but tell us your goals instead of an equipment list. The only things on your list I'd buy is the Kicker amp kit and the PDX, but only if I really needed a small footprint amplifier.

7. Stinger SPL2120=15.99each=47.97

8. 100 foot 14 gauge speaker wire(HOME DEPOT)=50

Total: 1400.68 Shipped

I think you shoukd really try the Sundomn amps, even the refurb ones. Try the ssashop, or db-r.com: there are big sales and big deals for a limited time now.

Why don't you take a look at the SSA sub or the FI ? You can't be disappointed with them!

Last point : I am not sure if you need rear speakers, take the money for the 2 sets and just buy a Better one, so you will only need a 2 channel amp for your speakers.

TAKE YOUR TIME, read a lot, do some good research, and maybe you will be satisfied with your choices!!!! Good luck

I've thought about FI or SSA but they won't fit under my rear seat. Why would you NOT get rear speakers?

i dont think back speakers are a waste... it depends on wat u like. i keep my balance up front most of the time, but sometimes i change it cuz i enjoy that rear fill, feels like it surrounds you.

You can get that surrounding feeling without rear fill.

I feel sorry for you as you have obviously not ever heard a well setup front stage then.

As for all the "why nots" I would ask you why. There is ABSOLUTELY no benefit to having rear anythings.

But then people back there hear nothing?

Bad assumption. My backseat passengers regularly ask me what I have in the front AND back. My rear doors are sealed and there are NO drivers in them.

Ive always heard you say that there were no need for rears, but does it hurt anything by having them?

What about just running cheap coaxials in the back?

My rears took a good piece of my budget, I regret it. Waste of money and amp and battery power.

I have a 2 seater so the back passenger doesn't apply for me though.

Still a bad idea. Why are you and everyone in this thread so fascinated with rears.

1) Waste of budget

2) Go listen to a $3000 pair of speakers or anything really high end, then turn on some cheap ones right next to them. You'll see how much worse it sounds

3) Interference both constructive and destructive will ruin your frequency response

4) Same budget, it won't be any louder just sound worse

5) Staging, if you can't figure out that the stage needs to be in front of you a music lesson or two would be in order

6) You will always get better results putting all your money into the front instead of dividing it into front/rear

The ONLY real logical reason for rears is if you are doing a video setup and "need" 5.1

It will hurt your wallet. If you do buy cheap speakers for the rear it defeats the purpose of having a good sounding front stage. Your audio will only sound as good as its weakest element. I can hear my front stage loud and clear in my backseat, it's a Club Cab Ram, but its close to your size.
