My sub is finally here!

Audibel Customs Customer Service:

I genuinely respect Quentin for being a very busy man and still getting back to his customer e-mails on the same day. It shows that customers are a big priority. Answered all my questions, and made this process very easy for me. Will definitely buy from again.A++

Custom Box:

My custom box that Quentin made is not a box you would normally see since it was for a single cab with limited amount of mounting depth. Quentin made it possible for me to still jam :rockwoot: in this little amount of space. Great sturdy box with a luxury look. Thanks Quentin!!!A++

SSA Customer Service & Product:

On only about 600 Watts this thing pounds my truck! Everything flexes and gets loud. Louder than my 2 12's.Can't wait to get my Planet Audio RXD1400.Mark did a good job at responding to my question about shipping. Answered quickly a few hours later with an accurate answer. Shipping took a little longer than expected but I can't complain for this great sub and they hand build it so SSA gets an A++.

First thoughts & Impressions:

Wow is this thing HEAVY. I had to use quite a bit of force to lift this Monster. Way heavier than my 12" Memphis.Very bulky and sturdy sub.

ah, that looks awesome. Really shows what a monster this sub really is next to the Memphis sub. What do you think of the low end on this little beast so far? Wait till you get some listen time on it, and it's actually broken in, it will get even better for you :)

The lows is where this sub really shines. Everything flexes & I get back rubs when the low part of the song comes on. Just recently I started to notice a clicking/whispering noise on certain frequencies/parts of songs. I think the box may have a air leak somewhere. Is there a way to find it?

you'd have to take the box out, dark room, shine a bright light in all the corners etc.., try a air hose if that doesn't work, see if you can feel it, or you can simply just run a bead of caulking around the inside edges and seal it yourself for about $2 bucks. That should fix you right up :)

Let me know if you find any problems with the enclosure. If so I will send out a new one ASAP.

holy wow! Thats commitment right there. Even though a $2 thing of silicone could fix it he offers a new box, lol. Great customer service right there.

No, I don't rig anything. I treat all my client's product like it is my own. I wouldn't want to but something just to have to fix it. Regaurdless if it was free or not, if it's broke I will make it right.

Could just be that the sub is hitting the back of your seat. Or it could be the air from the port flapping something in your truck. I hear lots of funny noised when things drop below 25 Hz, but it's always just something in my car groaning... Like the entire rear deck O_o

Nice set up! And great CS from Audibel. Good guy to have on the site!!!

Oh yeah, and at what frequencies do you hear this? It could be below tuning and the port is merely unloading, which would describe the funny noises.

Wow.That's what I call GREAT customer service. Thanks alot but it's not a big deal for me.I don't want to go through all the trouble for a small air leak. I'm still not 100% sure if its an air leak but when I put my middle console up, it presses against the enclosure closer to the rear cab wall and I can't hear it any more. Do you guy think its an air leak? I'm gonna go listen to it again and try to observe it more.

I know the sub isn't hitting the seat and I know the port isn't making anything flap/move.Maybe it's just all the movement in the truck.I'm not sure but it still pounds! I might take the box out tommorow or next week because this weekend i'm going to Sea World! :rockwoot:
