impedance rise?

OK i have 2 dp dual 2ohm 15's wired to 2ohm final resistance but now they have gotten quieter and i checked my resistance and it has risen to 3.5ohm any ideas on why this would happen

u must check resistance when the amp is OFF.

If you are getting 3.5 with the amp off, then u have the sub wired in series.

That... or something is very wrong.

it is with the amp off and it has risen from a final impedance of 2ohm to 3.5ohm in a week or so. maybe its time for a recone?

You either have a voice coil blown or a wire has pulled loose some where.
