Will my FI "Q" 12 do better w/different amp?

Recommended Posts

I have a 12" FI "Q" running off of a JBL BP 1200.1 amp. The amp is suppose to run 1200 watts rms and I am running it correctly wire wise. Do you guys think it would perform better with a different amp setup? A friend of mine suggests a kicker amp. what do you guys think?

Keep the amp if others say that it does what its rated. Ditch it if its way over-rated.

What is your box size and tuning if its ported? That would be the first thing I change. You may even be able to turn your current box around facing different directions and it will get louder, maybe.

Honestly you shouldn't need any more then 1000 watts..

That 1500 is a bit too strong and wont leave much margin for error if you are hard on stuff.

Thanks!

Those JBL BP amps are solid enough. You will gain nothing.

Your JBL BP 1200 is designd by CROWN and is qualified.

it's not that efficient an the SAZ but as long you don't have electricity problems it sould be just fine for your Q.
