having problem with a tocoma

well i went to connect the positive run of wire and as i started disconnecting the battery the alarm kept going off i went ahead and finished disconecting the battery then connected the positive run of wire then as i was reconecting it the battery the alarm started going off again then i tightened it all the way then waited for the alarm to go off then i tried to start the car and only the battery will go on it wont click or anything when i take the key out the alarm beeps

what do i do?

Bring it to someone who knows what they are doing with alarms before you break something.

It might be the fact that your aftermarket alarm is engaged and your factory is disengauged or vice versa. Use your factory key fab to unlock all the doors and also use your aftermarket key fab to unlock the doors. This will disengauge any alarms. Now try doing whatever you were doing and it should work. If not you most likely reset the settings on your aftermarket alarm tuned for your car and you have to reprogram it.
