which one of these would be the correct way to measure the port length? entrance of one and exit of the other maybe? also, does a flare just help with port noise? and does that brace inside the port do anything to the tuning? raise it a bit maybe?

I add the proper displacement to the enclosure to aquier for the bracing

so it has no effect on tuning..I do have a formula for the port length..it changes with each port flare radius

Just wanted to let people know that I am currently using a home built enclosure. 2.5cuft @ 32Hz for my 12" Fi BL.

Next year, I will be upgrading to a 12" BTL and am very curious to how the boxes will compare..

I hope to receive the enclosure before I put my car away for winter so I can compare them while I still have the BL.

This one is marvelous !

It is not box building anymore, it's just ART !!!!!!!!!

Anyways, I would assume that there would be no problems using a BTL sub in a box designed for a BL, right?

Could anyone please confirm?

no problems in one of these boxes, the only thing i would be concerned about is port noise, but in one of these there shouldnt be any...

the tuning would be a little off with the BTL but it will work the same.....
