Maybe this one will be used more appropriately.

In the pimp my ride where they installed the original jackhammer, a 22" woofer on 8500w only hit 130dB.

yea, i've seen that one. even still they did a jackhammer 22 install into a big ass van with two jackhammer 22's and all the amps to push it. i think it peaked out at 140 db. and it was in the optimum enclosure for those subs.

Weird

That is in a IB config though so....

It's 22" come on...

Someone do the math, how much area is that? And 8500w to boot?

The new one is rediculous. 400lbs? Most of it is frame!!

Am i wrong? I calculated the surface area of the 24" to be 48sqft?

If they hit anything below 150 with that much area, i'm gonna break someone.

Kinda the same as people getting 30" rims on a truck and all turning radius goes to shit. yea it looks good. but how functional is it.

Not at all, people nowadays dont do things cause they want to but they want to look cool to their peers and others. Kinda stupid if you ask me, but to each its own.

Doh.gif No sleep the night before.... I did 24" x 24" = 576

576"/12" = 48ft Doh.gif

Theoretically, with all that surface area, imagine (4) 24's in a suburban or walled in a truck or something @ rms tuned @ ~26hz peepwall.gif

To me that video didnt prove jackshit, a 22" subwoofer should be able to get into the 150's with ease or it would of been a waste of money and parts if it didnt. Just my .02
