alright guys, just got a little more serious in the car audio game. i'm just 16 and this is my 2nd setup.

vehicle:

2004 jeep liberty columbia edition

3.7 v6

goal

start working on a spl setup while still being able to have functional daily use.

pioneer DEQ 9200 EQ

all 0/1 big 3

alpine 6.5 type r components

alpine f-300

pac lc-1 bass knob

stinger voltmeter blue led's

some interstate extra battery. upgrade soon!

fi btl 12, dual 1, cooling, hiXM coil, daily, heat ring, universal, red dustcap

custom box i made with 2.69 net cubes tuned to 36 hz

Looks great, screw FatMat though, it's asphalt based junk, you don't need to cover the whole surface to deaden though, only 25-35%.

x100 on what Duran said about the FatMat... I personally recommend SecondSkin products completely based on personal experience, if you want a great site to read up a little bit more about the different types check out Don's page over at Sound Deadener Showdown.

Lovin' the sub, can't go wrong with Fi... off to a stellar start broham keep it up :fing34:

thanks for the imput on fatmat. after hearing this i'm not going to use that for my sound proofer. i'll furthermore do my homework on a different kind and also check out second skin.

yeah i already like alpine amps since i had an m500 with my last setup, i feel they put out good power and efficenecy

I love Alpine, i'm sure you will too. The box looks unique, did you clear coat it?

Whats your plans for sub/port placement?

bangin i ended up with the sub placed upward on the top left and port on the right facing the back; and also no clear coat . does okay but im going to port the other side once i build my new box when i get my new btl

updates.....got a new alpine m2000 with a 2300 birth at 2 ohm....

fucked my voice coil in my btl from a clipped signal. its now a 65 pound paperweight

didnt want to do a re cone myself. didn't want to pay a hundred bucks in shipping for them to do it.

bought a kinetik 1800 for up front to run the car and the mids/highs

bought a kinetik 2400 for the subs to run off of

bought 2 alpine type r's and a box tuned in the 41-42 hz range.

didnt want to do a re cone myself. didn't want to pay a hundred bucks in shipping for them to do it.

got some updates...

got alpine type r 6.5 components for up front

type r coxails for the rear

also went to my first MECA event this past weekend. Competed in AS3, which means car turned off, put up a 143.4 at the headrest

building a new box this weekend, subs up port back to the right

soooo. i dropped down to AS2 and did a 143.7 at the headrest on music w/ the car turned off in a box that's not meant for my vehicle. right now i'm the loudest in virginia in AS2 and I'm trying to get enough points to go to MECA world finals

here's an update. had some computer issues so I haven't posted anything really in the past few weeks.

Did a false floor, and i think it turned out pretty good.
