2~15" Icon's Build

Recommended Posts

Thanks a lot for the comments guys! :fing34:

The main construction should be done today as long as it doesn't start to sprinkle on me.

The angles really mess with your head when you're getting ready to cut.

One wrong measurement or cut and the piece is junk....LOL

Man I want to hear this so freakin' bad but, I don't want to rush it and have a poor construction error

turn into an install nightmare...

More pics tonight!!!!!! :woot:

MI....I haven't been up there since I was a kid. LOL

Thank you for the compliments!!! :drink40:

Well, I have one more freaking panel to cut and it's too dark to see out here so........

Tomorrow she slides back into the Ranger for a final test fit !!!!! :horse:

Carpet may have to be a later on kinda thing.

I still have the amp rack to fab up, plus a few other details that are more important before I compete at Slamology 2010.

You live one state, barely a couple hours from the state line and it's been that long? Also where is this Slamology held? I'll come there and check your setup out, i'd like to see this enclosure in person, and of course those icons lol.

I'm glad I showed up late man it was fun to see this from post 1 to here in one shot.

I'm kinda pissed that you couldn't get it finished by the time I showed up to check it out.

I guess the mechman kinda explains the alt situation. That sucks man. Hope the mechman works out better.

Box is looking sweet!!

Are you going to close it up on the back so all the air is pushed in the cab? It's hard to tell if those side pieces extend behind the port.

That fuckin rain has been non stop down here lately too.

Hope you make it to the sound comp this weekend. Hope it don't turn out like last year! Haha

Fuckin cops shut us down in Topeka last Saturday right in the middle of the comp too. It was a mess. Couple guys drove down from Iowa and didn't get to run.

Anyways-good luck man!

I'll try to stick around long enough to see the finished product

Adam

My family used to own a cottage on Walloon Lake, but that was 20 years ago. (wow now I feel old....LOL)

I've been meaning to take a trip up to fish Lake Erie but every time I plan it some weird crap always happens so I can't go...

There's a thread for Slamology with links and stuff already on the forum,

Slamology.....Central Indiana - SSA Car Audio Forum

Hope to see ya there man! A few members from here are going as well.

Adam Turner! :ohsnap:

WoW, What cave have you been hiding in????

Long time no here man! (call me this weekend!)

Well let's go get this dang thing done and see what it looks like inside the truck!

Fresh pics again tonight too.... :takepix:

Hahaha, yeah that was before my time. Although I don't blame you for never making it up here lol, it sucks here in Michigan. Nothing but a waste land. Gets worse everyday in my opinion. Get them pics up, I wanna see this thing finished. I looked over your last build, and it was sweet. I guessing this is going to be better seeing that your redoing it.

What were you trying to get up here to fish for? There's small time fishing, and then there's the other kind that's a little bit funner, lol.

Edit: I will be attending Slamology, most definitely as a spectator, 5 Hr drive is worth the entertainment lol. You going to be there for the whole weekend?

Sorry for not having any new pics.....

About an hour into working, I bashed the top of my head on a shelf in my shed.

I gave myself a nice little gash that as all head woulds do, bled like crazy.

No stitches for this one though it isn't very deep...(according to the ole' lady)

I felt like such a total idiot!

I need a stupid helmet, I always hit my head on stuff. LOL

Today is a total washout...

Raining buckets here so, I'm going to sand the port and get it ready for the finish coat of paint.

And yes, I plan on attending both days of the show.

I'll get my new windshield installed next week so there's no doubt the seal will be set up and solid by Slamology! :woot:

BOX107.jpg

Just enough space for the gasket to seal tight on the cap.

BOX108.jpg

Still space for any other bracing if needed. (but not too much space..LOL)

BOX109.jpg

BOX110.jpg

BOX111.jpg

The back wall slope matches the slope of the windshield also.

BOX112.jpg

Now it's the amp rack that I need to glue up, run a few wires, and install the new alternator.

Then it's test time!!!
