2~15" Icon's Build

Recommended Posts

Here's the Icon's dropping a sweep.

Half way through you can hear my pop can working it's way out of the cup holder.....

My bud just caught it before it took a dive on the floor.

Sorry, I tried to upload this to YouTube like 20 times and kept giving me an error...

I finally got it! :woot:

The cap flex has been cut dramatically!!!

I'll try to get a walk around video of it here soon.

I've been searching the entire house looking for the remote for my H/U......LOL

Big time bummer!!!

The new windshield that I just had installed has a stress crack from improper installation! :woot:

They can't replace it right away because the seal hasn't cured all the way.

I was told if they pull it out now there will be some nice Dow sealant strings all over the inside and outside of my truck.

I figure to hell with it, they know about the flaw so I'm gonna try to crack it all the way during Slamology!!! :ehh:

If it's not one thing it's another.........

DAMN! That's a bummer about the window but you know that destroying it at the show will be hilarious :woot: You'll have the people watching your run freaked out and then....BAM! You, the truck, and the equipment are an instant Slamology legend :drink40: Gotta spin it to a positive for you :fing34:

LMAO...

Yeah I guess that would be a bright side to it.....

The drive home might suck, I may need to buy some goggles! LOL

I pressure tested it today,

It split another 12 inches and won't split anymore.

Unless, I really push with my thumb.....

I hope it at least holds to get on the meter.

After the show I get a free warranty replacement, so whatever happens happens! :ehh:

My remote for the H/U won't work on a severe angle. (like out the windows)

I contemplated wiring up a long harness for the H/U to run outside the truck

but that'll take some doing......

Any thoughts on how I could work my way around this issue?

You know I will! LOL

If it happens and isn't caught on video then I'll be pissed!

With all the cameras that are going to be at the show, there should be several different angles!

are you playing CD's, or from an mp3 player (aux)?

Either or.....

I'll have both on hand, 16 gig flash drive (mp3), and a box of original recorded cd's.

Oh, an I-pod too.

If you use the ipod, you could pause the ipod, turn the volume up on h/u, run aux cable out door, then press play on ipod for competing. That should work? :P

Could you mount a small mirror inside and bounce the remote signal off it to the h/u?

hmmmmm....It's worth a shot...

I was delaying putting the Lexan window in the hood of the enclosure until after the show.

Last resort would be for me to yank the hood out and cut the window in, install and seal the Lexan, re install the hood, all before Saturday morning....

It's doable, just kinda a hassle. Everything fits snug as a bug in a rug.

I'll try the mirror first.

Maybe put some velcro on the back to hold it still?

yeah try some velcro and see if you can find a spot that bounces the signal
