Hows this for a set up? pick an amp....

Recommended Posts

HOLLA!

im considering buying 2 10" RLi-s for my RSX

I have a dual box already .70cf x2 (gross)

and several amps at my disposal:

either 2 10d4s powered by a Diamond D5600.2 (600+watts)

or 2 10D2s powered by a Memphis 500d (kinda small amp ?)

or

I also own an MTX 801D(675w) for 2 10d2s

what do you fellas think,i am leaning towards using the 5600.2,due to its SQ charectaristics, but is 300-325w ea to small?

is my box too big?

thx in advance

im running 900w to my pair of RL-i8s and they're taking it just fine

when i first put in this setup, i wired them to 4 ohms instead of one  so the pair was getting less than 400w, and they still got pretty loud

LOL an audio packrat

nah I dont sell much gear anymore, everytime I sell an amp or sub

a month later I am kicking myself because something comes up I can use it for :faintthud: so now I keep it in my shop for future or friends installs

So,I guess the biggest amp of the 3 , the MTX I should use.......

well..ur favorite choice is ur only choice as rl-i's only come in dvc4...

I think the diamond amp might do it well, 300 is more than enough for the RL-i by many accounts
