Taking out stock battery terminal.

Recommended Posts

Ok I got some new Knu Konceptz battery terminals with 4g outputs and I'm assuming I will need to cut the stock terminal out. So soldering the wires will be the best option right? Now I know with smaller wires you usually just twist them together and then solder but thats not really feasible with 4g, or is it? If anyone has tips on doing this it would be greatly appreciated.

This is the terminal I will be using.

Well I mean where I will be extending the main power line for the car. Attaching a length of 4g to the stock wiring.

Are you talking about doing the "big 3" ? You don't have to cut the stock wire.

No not the big three. I will be switching the terminals out from stock to knu konceptz ones. So I will have to take out the stock terminals and extend the wires.

So any tips on getting the best soldering job done or would butt connectors be a better route.
