MechMan HOP alternators?

I've heard of them before. They have mixed reviews...

I have one on my truck and so far it seems to make good power. Only "complaint" I have is when I stab on the gas, the belt squeals a little, but I think that's more a function of armor all type stuff on the belt than anything wrong with the alternator. I will say that Matt is a standup guy and will go the extra mile to make the customer happy. When I need another alternator, I'll have them at the top of my short list of people to call. It's a shame they don't make one for my MGB....although....I could get one out of a Saturn and double the output since mine is only 45 amps, anything more and the engine couldn't turn it!
