Carl Casper - Louisville, KY Feb26 LARGEST Show in America

Feb. 25, 26, 27th in Louisville, KY.

I will most likely not be competing at this show since i havent even started a build yet, too cold.

I will be seeing and expecting MANY SSA, local, and other forum members to show up.

for those who just want to come and hang out for a day, Feb. 26th, Saturday, is the best day to do that.

It costs $14 to spectate, Few bucks for parking and i believe they serve beer here too if i'm not mistaken.

It is inside so you won't be freezing.

We can all just meetup right before you enter or somewhere inside the expo.. No need to really meetup before going to the parking lot.. I doubt everybody will be able to park next to each other.

HOTEL IS BOOKED!! Staying at days inn south... me and mac and cheese will be there!!!!!

if anyone has not booked a room yet i suggest doing it ASAP every other hotel i called was 150$+ a night. days in south was 60$ a night at what we booked

it is not as cheap, however it has the pool for the kids and the free breakfast buffet, which is actually a huge savings for our crew, lol

but, if any one else is coming down, i suggest that they jump on this one Hove found, heck of a bargin.

also, we sorta get preferred rates for being down there alot..... guess momma's casino habit has it's rewards, lol

but Carl Casper is a tradition for me and momma .

you see, our anniversary is on the 14th., (Valentines Day), so we always wait till the show and spend the weekend down there between it and going to the boat, makes for a cool time!

Carl Casper's Show in Louisville

MECA Celebrates 13 years of fun and games at Carl Casper's Show in Louisville, KY on the weekend of February 25-27th. This is the site of the first MECA contests, and the tradition continues at this premium 3 day event. All activities are in-doors, at the Pavilion located in the KY Fair & Expo Center, located just off I-65. There are Motel 6's in the area.

Carl Casper's Show is one of the premier events in Louisville, drawing 100,000 people over 3 days. No other MECA event gives us as much exposure and interaction with the public, people who don't usually attend sound-offs.

Friday night is MECA's Loudest In Louisville, for metro boomers only. There are 15 classes in our Sound Pressure contest, looking for the Loudest In Louisville, who gets a special 4" trophy.

Saturday and Sunday make up the Sound-off Nationals, which includes all Sound Quality League and Sound Pressure League contests. Sound Pressure and Park & Pound are qualifying contests, so Competitors must post a score on Saturday to qualify in the the "Top 3" in their class for the Finals on Sunday. SQL Competitors can compete in Sound Quality, Install, RTA Freq Out, and SQ2 on Saturday and Sunday. MECA Kids are free with an adult entry.
