Dust cap blew off BTL 15

Recommended Posts

Is there any way I can reattach this myself?

This is basically what I opened my trunk to:

Yes, infact just get some epoxy, 10-15minute and apply it around the previous glue joint. Then set some weight on it. :drink40:

Just some enclosure made by a local store in Mobile, AL. I didn't feel like making one at the time so I bought that one.

Like what was said before, just use epoxy.

But I would personally find the root of the problem before playing the sub because it may lead to a bigger problem.

That box looks really small.

It's 3.2 cubic feet. Just a weird angle I took the photo at. It's also all I could really fit in the trunk. I might be able to go to 4, but I haven't tried to fit something that large into the trunk's opening.

The sub is also a few years old now.

Is the former supposed to be black/brown?

I think clipping is what happened.(or too high power and or playing below tuning)
