you know what it is!!!!!

friday should bring some fiber glass....

this is my first time guys, i have never even tried to frame or fiber glass so this is kinda of a crash course

i plan to see if i can find a fleece blanket to use for the fiber mat and then use some resin .. then use bondo filler, then sand it smooth then primer, then paint.

let me know if im missing somthing

so i have a question for you. what is the difference between a regular tweeter and the neo tweeter you're using? whats the benefit of using them compared to say a horn or dome?

I definitely recommend using atleast one layer of fiberglass on top of the resin'd fleece. The pillar is long and imo it needs at little bit more support than just resin. That would suck to have the resin and bondo crack on you!

Nice, look forward to seeing you there. :fing34:

Looking good Jon. Use a old tee shirt instead of the fleece. The fleece tends to absorb the resin unevenly and will tend to sag.

Looks like I'm the only one behind the times and without custom fiberglass pods. Guess it's time to get back in the garage. :P

perhaps some one that knows more can tell you more....

but from what i understand and can hear for my self is that they have more of a range, and are not as tinny, and do not screetch..

smoother more natural sound.

im loving them

Hugo - I'm not fiberglassing the Caddy at all. So I'll be the odd man out. haha.

Jon - I see a lot of people using old t-shirts when im browsing build logs. I think as long as you put some fiberglass mat down on it you should be good to go.

Jon,

go to a fabric store or maybe even wall-mart and get some 100% polyester Ponte cloth.

Stretches real nice and wont take a bunch of resin to wet it out.

I agree with the above, you are going to want to put some fiberglass over it for strength.

Good luck Bro.
