It's official...

HISTORY IN THE MAKING!

It has just been confirmed that 4 18s WILL fit in the scion tC.

This will be the first wall to ever be built with 4 18s in a scion tC AND the first wall to ever fit 4 18s in a 2door hatchback that I know of.

The subs were test fitted and the baffles have been test fitted inside the wall. Everything is a GO!

The baffles will be attached together tonight and prepare to work on the roof next... I'm getting there!

Pics will come later on this week.

I forgot to add.. There is VERY little wood mass in this baffle to hold 200lbs of speaker on..

It will need to be reinforced with 2x4 and steel from the inside to support the weight.. Something unexpected but mandatory.

And a third thing to add- I have MORE VOLUME than expected!!!

I was expecting ~27cuft Gross and ~19cuft NET...

I have 33cuft GROSS and about ~27cuft NET Woohoo!

Port on driverside?

yep, the official method of obtaining loudest pressure in a USA vehicle.

I wouldn't say that. I'm .8 db louder in the driver kick. Post on driver side would hurt me.

You wouldnt know unless u rebuilt.

Most to all Draggers run a 70/30 on the driver side because high pressure(port) moves to low pressure areas(opposite of port).

IE- port horizontally up top, you would do awesome in the kick.

Less restrictions are seen when porting on driver side as there is a steering wheel on the driver side.

There are less restrictions on the passenger side therefore, driver side port it is.

Exactly, that's why you wouldnt know unless u rebuild like i mentioned.

But from the years of experience and being around the scene.. that's just how it is. It's common knowledge.

Just got word yesterday...

My 270XP Alt has just been built..

Awaiting further info..

If they remember, it should be getting anodized too.

That can take up to 1.5weeks.
