ShiZZZoN's Build #2 The Epicness of 2011-2024

Recommended Posts

Yes it is!

That would mean as early as today possibly.

Customer: Hello, how soon can I expect to have my vehicle back.

Jiffy Lube: In 0 weeks ma'am.

:wtf:

the unit is taken out of context.

A build could take days, weeks, months, years...

Jiffy lube takes seconds, minutes, hours.

I could say, " your car will be ready in 0 days."

Although by itself sounds stupid, but used as a range of measure, 0-whenever, is more appropriate.

As what chuck said, the most degree of research of the smallest thing...

I'll debate you over debating about debating the context of the unit.

In the end.. if i were to lose.. I'll just say God did it because i don't know, lmao...

If we are going to be honest this is more of what your progression shows you aiming for

Got first bottom row parallel together.

They are not symmetrically wired because of something i can only explain in person..

In Chuck's words, fitting 100lbs in a 50lb bag.. This wiring method is the easiest to get all my amps connected efficiently to lower voltage drop potential.

I am now working on preparing to start running external cables to 1 batt to complete half of the battery bank.

Then this weekend, i will order the rest of the batts and train them up to 13.0v and then install them.

No, it's you like to shove 100lbs of shit in a 5lb bag. 50 just doesn't do justice to how extreme the amount of room used to what's available is. Chops nickname of "mad scientist" is fitting.

Batts look good so far. Any new pics of the front baffle? :)

OMG.. another fail attempt...

The amps have once again failed to fit in the car with the new method... and other methods tried..

After 2hrs of thinking and trying, i have came up with another idea that is about the last resort..

5 batts in the rear of the wall as is pictured above...

The other 7 in the very rear as originally planned...

3 of my 6 amps will be mounted on top of the 5 batteries in the wall...

This will be VERY tricky because it has got to be mounted in such a way to prevent air leaks from inside the wall AND withstand ~160db+ pressure from the other side of the wall...

This will take some time and delicate technique to get right but luckily by doing this, my power and ground cable runs will actually be shorter now for all 6 amps which is kinda ironic.

So for the mean time, it will be a slow progress getting all the amps installed so probably no pics for a while.

You have officially gone from 100lbs of shit in a 5lb bag to 200lbs of shit in a 2 1/2lb bag! Good luck bro, hope you're able to have some pogress by finals.

So I'm still a little confused. Are the batts you added inside the airspace of the wall or no? I thought that was isolated and shrunk down the enclosure size. If it is isolated I don't see the issue with the pressure.

Maybe you could fill the amps with helium and just let them float around and not worry about mounting them at all.

I sent you a text earlier. I figured you were probably standing in the driveway with the hatch open and staring lol. Sounds like I may not have been too far off ;)

I feel your pain. You plan and plan and plan but when you install things change quickly!

Can you build a center console (between the front seats) to hold you amps?

Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to buy a larger vehicle. lol

He would just do the same thing even with my Suburban. He isn't just happy with any amount of room available. I suggest he buy a tractor & trailer combo so he can build whatever inside the trailer....LOL

Then i would be trying to install a B pillar wall with 24 18s.. Same scenario..
