when you start upgrading your system before its even installed, you may have a car audio problem.

You know your addicted to car audio when.....

You can recite theile small parameters, but you dont remember your anniversary,

You have owned more woofers than sneakers in your entire life.

You have more sheets of mdf than channels on your tv.

Under your christmas tree= 8 spools of 1/0, a kinetik powercell and 10 sheets of 3/4 inch thick mdf.

You have more pages of notes of car audio designs, systems etc... in your college notebook than actually class notes.

when you have handed in a research paper about a subwoofer and its interaction with its surrounding environment in physics class.

You buy a cd just because of the studio it was recorded in is known for its utmost quality.

Not only can your girlfriend wire, build boxes, do all of the math for port areas etc, understands impedances and current, but she buys you car audio stuff for your birthday, christmas and valentines day.

And my personal favorite is: you stripped your car the first day you bought it, layed down 200 sq feet of sound deadenning, 4 runs of 1/0, 4 runs of 1/0 for ground, all of the speaker wire, and than put it all back together without even having the amps or speakers yet.

.....when you have 10Gs of car audio equipment in your bedroom and you order another 5Gs of subs and amps

.....when you get a 20G bonus and over 1/2 of that is devoted to car audio system

.....when your system is 3 time the amount of the ride its going into.

.....when you tell you wife THE tyou love her and that you will never order anything else and just as you say that the ups guy rings the doorbell with 4 big as boxes for you and she answers the door.

When you leave your handtruck out front for the UPS man.

When the UPS man knows you so well that he will park in your driveway and come in for a drink.

When you house looks more like a Pawn Shop than a house

When you wife/girlfriend asks you to move a sub because its to heavy to lift.

When you have a cardboard box that weighs over 100 lbs and all it has in it is the "extra" wire.

You the same "Redline" that made the shift boot and armrest for my Mustang? If so, guys, these dudes do amazing work with leather.

lmao...

".....when you tell you wife tha tyou love her and that you will never order anything else and just as you say that the ups guy rings the doorbell with 4 big as boxes for you and she answers the door."

When you lie to people you love about what you've bought, are buying, and how much it costs. Some how a a few grand is only a few hundred.

When you want 4 wheel drive just to have the suspension to hold the additional weight.

When people get in your car and either don't know what the smell is, or immediately say 'smells like new subs and box in here'

When your car cost you nothing, as long as it fits the 6ft^3 enclosure in the trunk and the SP2150 under the hood.

When you feel sorry for the car that cost you nothing, as the panel work, windows, mirrors etc will be no match for 2.5kW.

When you spend AUS$600 (and 4 months) to get a sub into the country which no body else has because you have to have the best.

When you have 800WRMS powering an RE '06 XXX15 in your room the size of a milk carton.

:)

HA

You know when your an addict when

"you go around driving with the passenger seat, Door panels and rear deck all gutted for weeks on end and you haven't even received the equipment yet"

"when you spend hours on the net searching for the best deals on some good wire"

"you tell yourself Who needs a spare tire anyways"

You know when your an addict when

"you go around driving with the passenger seat, rear seat, floor rug and rear deck all gutted for weeks on end and not one shred of equipment installed yet"

"when you spend hours on the net searching for the best deals on some good wire"

"you tell yourself Who needs a spare tire anyways"

Dude, I 2nd all of that :)

- I drove around for ever not having a seat, panels, or carpet on the pass. side because that's where I was mounting my 4 channel, and it helped to get the next run of 1/0 to the back.

-I found its helpful to go to shops and ask the guys working there if they have any 'scrap' 1/0, because they often have some from personal projects. Just got 15' for $20 that way ;)

-Last mustang had no spare, just equip in the spare.

When you become dissatisfied with your new(er) car because it wont fit enough equipment.

Do you know you're an addict when you're up at 1 in the morning repling to a post about how much of an addict you are?

You know your an addict when.........................

your 11 year old son writes a paper on what his goals are in the future and one of them include "having a Head unit with a built in cross over running to 4K watts with a nice front stage and some 15's in the rear"

I'm so proud of him ^_^
